So I'm curious as to why the heater reduces mpg so much. I understand it in the city as the engine runs more, but why on the highway when it's running all the time anyway? Someone enlighten me. Also, would it be better to use seat warmer and reduce the heat?

Got it back this morning. HayBales You were dead on. I asked again why this can't be done remote and he said it was a dealer manager decision worried about screwing up a vehicle away from the shop and not having the resources there to fix it.
My dealer originally was going to send a mobile service tech, but then told me that the "verification" process that has to be done before they release it can't be done away from the shop. Let us know if your dealership does it with mobile.

Took mine in for first oil change last week in Denton. Requested full synthetic and tire rotation. Went to pay and it was 150 bucks, for the "works" package. I was shocked and peeved. Will definitely do my oil myself from now on. Gonna buy one of these and get two changes out of it. Linky Link
