Dealership pointed out that the acceleration and deceleration whining sounds are built in pedestrian safety features verses the pedestrian danger of a completely silent electric motor. I believed it …..
Only going on personal experience with Ford pickups …. Traded in my 2003 regular cab Ford Range Edge 2wd for my 2023 Lariat. 96k miles on the 20+ year old Ranger that still ran like a beast but, fought with rust. Ranger was not a top line pickup either. Take good care of your toys and you’ll...
I removed the OEM mudflaps that came factory installed and replaced with the Mabetts to avoid the known paint damage issue. Love the Mabetts. Better coverage, nice looking, easy install, reasonable price, and no concave design to trap snow and debris. Very pleased.
That’s actually a really cool video and engineering. I haven’t even opened the hood on the Mav; it scares me! This truck continues to impress me. I hope it last as long as my 20+ year old Ranger Edge that I traded for the Mav.
Maybe someone much smarter than me can do a 3D plastic printed patch for that area with attachment instructions much like the 3D printed tailgate patch that is so popular on this forum??
Noticed something similar on my Mav. It was condensate from the tailpipe on the driver’s side after I backed up. Checked out the driveway fluid and it was just water. Evaporated quickly with no stains. No worries.
I use Meguiars Ultimate liquid. Does a great job on paint and plastics without worry. Easy on with clean microfiber pad and easy off with clean microfiber towel. Cheaper to buy on Amazon.
I took the ESP but, showed the finance guy the competitor pricing. Got the 10 year 75k plan for $1500 with $200 deductible. I’ll hit the 10 years before the mileage. Did the same for my Subie. The thing that scares the crap out of me with these starships is the electronics. You...
The expertise on this forum is impressive. Was more curious about the OEM mudflaps and the rubbing issue. Does the rubbing damage the paint down to the primer or beyond to bare metal? I may address this with the dealer. Thanks for your thoughts.
The cover is factory installed with the Ford emblem. Mudflaps are nice but I’m not convinced that they are totally functional against splash-ups or tire debris in my experience on several different cars/trucks. Nevertheless, I feel better having them.
Just ordered mine and got the notice that it shipped. Many thanks for making this effort for Mav owners; this makes so much sense. The $15 is a no brainer.
Wife and I went shopping on a lark and spied the Mav at the edge of the dealer lot, manufactured 10/23, just arrived and wasn’t even listed in their inventory yet. Dealer just sold 6 Mavs in the last week and could not keep them on their lot. They are still real scarce around here. It was...
Washed and waxed ….. new 2023 Mav Lariat Lux Hybrid picked up last week. Cactus Grey was a dealer inventory that we luckily happened upon at the right time just as it arrived. Ford installed tri-fold bed cover and third party sprayed on bed liner. Could not be happier!! We have 180 miles...
