    I don’t think this is happening much. I’ve been talking to several dealers over the summer, been put on “wait lists” and still only found one dealer that was able to get my order in. Completely ghosted by the others.

    Yep. I think they are probably getting a lot more black appearance packages than they anticipated based on everyone’s builds.

    You bet there’s going to be shenanigans played with 2023’s with even MORE demand and people not blinking an eye to pay a couple thousand more. Sadly, we will probably hear more horror stories of dealers selling custom orders for even more than this year.

    I got my email confirmation from Ford yesterday and a signed preview order today. I provided a copy of my license at the time of order entry. No deposit and we have an agreement for MSRP plus dealer fee. This is a reputable dealer but if they play shenanigans at delivery, I walk.

    This. Like Tim said, find a dealer that will work with you. If you can’t, call Long McArthur and they can order for it you and ship anywhere.
