I chose the cover so I could roll it up and haul tall things. Plus it's easy to reach stuff in the back of the bed.
The elevate rack takes care if the kayaks Ir even a rooftop box.
If I had to keep expensive things in the bed I'd probably go for the cap. Or at least a hard cover.
