I had an old man stop his truck, back up into my trash can accidentally and knock it over just so he could talk to me about the Maverick when I was doing yard work, this was two days ago.
I had someone taking a picture of the car. At walmart I had a couple standing around it checking ti out...
Sounds like the dealership wasn't clear upfront. They need you to finance with them. With them selling at MSRP, they need the financing incentives.
IMO I bought my Maverick with dealer financing. I had a backup Lightstream approval. Dealer was able to be within a range I deemed acceptable...
Author seems more irked that Ford doesn't make the cars he used to drive. Most consumers don't care about brand loyalty. Ford has decided to focus on their cars that sell better where there is less competition.

You expect ford to remove all rocks and other debris from roads and ensure they never chip someone's paint?
I wish they could do that. Until then. Your car will get chips. Either film or don't worry about it.
This. EPA created emission standards for VOC's for automotive paint in the Clean Air Act. All manufactures and consumers are feeling the effects.
Crappier solvents. Crappier paint. Crappier primer. Thinner coats of paint. All this increases likely hood of orange peel paint, chips...
