Tell them the next gen Rav4 is so good it's gonna crash the value of that one. Unless the new one has major issues that might even be the case, just from prior gen looking old. That gen though, known for recurring roofrail mount leaks, and HV battery cable corrosion, which Toyota keep doing...
#1 waterproof... if they don't keep globs of gritty slush off my carpet, what is the point.
#2 fit and OEM look, as others say if it fits right it won't slip.
I haven't managed to wear out mats before so unsure if I naturally gravitate to durable ones, or that the market has made them...
Probably a good thing, original torx is too delicate for stuff that has been installed years, picked up some corrosion or the the antisieze hardened up, meaning you need 50% more breakout torque then they were designed to take. Stripped and spiralled plenty of bits that way.
Howdy folks,
If you're looking for a no muss, no fuss rack install, this probably isn't it. Also might be a bit of a teaser because I am waiting on weather warming up and staying dry for a spell before I really get stuck in. So maybe a month away.
Most of the winter I had been staring at...
They say that you can tell if you're "young" if you fall over and everyone laughs, or "old" if they all rush over like "OMG, are you okay? Did you break anything? How's your hip? Shall I call 911?"

Now that damps the oscillations fast, but there could be rare occurrences of wave oscillation forced by wind off 30 degrees or so and resonant with trailer length, or mediated by spacing of utility poles which forces the oscillation. Either going faster or slower with a correctly weighted tongue...
Don't recall getting flashed yet, but haven't done a lot of single carriageway night driving outside of street lights. I am however, constantly turning off auto high beam which likes to re-enable itself and it waits until traffic is maybe 1/4 mile away before dipping, so I guess a lot of people...
Here in Ontario they switched it up a couple of years ago. Used to be able to get blue personal car plates on anything up to 3/4 tons, for non business use, but then they changed it so everything "truckish" gets a black truck plate, so my Mav wears a truck plate. I don't know how it plays out...
A decade ago, I was trying to find a diesel Passat Wagon, for economy, versatility and a bit of towing, so don't seem super strange to me. I guess I'm always trying to buy 30/30/3k ... 30+ mpg, 30+ cubefoot with the seats up, and ~3k towing, though several of my past vehicles only did two out of...
Well crap, should have gone and topped off the Mav on Friday, got unexpected errands and had to fill today at 1.65, would have waited until midweek otherwise.
