  1. How large of a camper have you towed with a 4K hybrid Maverick?

Surge brakes may or may not count, depending on jurisdiction. I'm in a 2k zone... kind of amazing how many utility and boat trailers with a 2500lb axle and 350 on the hook come out at exactly 1950lb GVWR. What is annoying me about that at the moment, is I'm also looking for a utility trailer...

Also if you're coming out of a vehicle with a red/blue knob, you may be unfamiliar with the idea that a set temperature in a true climate control system affects both heating and cooling, so yeah if you've got it set at 60F to be a miser with the heat, it's probably gonna turn on AC if cab gets...
  3. How large of a camper have you towed with a 4K hybrid Maverick?

I may have to curtail my "really long trailer" ambitions. Though that's the 20-25ft range where Mavs are concerned. There were a few older models I had picked out or come across that were narrow, light for length and shaped well enough in front to be somewhat aerodynamic. Weights 2700-3100 dry...

I can't promise you'll never have to fill your AC but forcing it off multiple months a year will have you seeping gas from dry seals. I like auto headlamps, not so much the auto high beams though.
  5. Will we ever see a Maverick hybrid in Tremor form?

Been a nasty winter here, and driving my hybrid AWD on Blizzak WS90s in all kids of crap that dropped on us, I'd say if you get it stuck it's your fault. This is bearing in mind to work with the ground clearance you've got and not driving over big lumps of rock just to drive over them instead of...
  6. Paid for a 528 page owner’s manual

Well hi then for the three months until you get bored of it.
  7. Maverick Hybrid engine pre-heater, any ideas for a DIY solution?

I know what you want. An in ground floodlight fitting you can park over the top of with a 1500W halogen lamp in it. ETA: though maybe you don't, I've melted plastics within 1 or 2ft of a 500W.
  8. Insurance rates

Did you mean you have CAA insurance? Since you're including your membership cost. I don't know why but a lot of people in my area swear CAA has best rates, but every time I've had them run a quote they end up double my current or best quote.
  9. 👉🏻UPDATE👇🏻 Ford uses Torx PLUS ++ Here is the Difference

150ftlb means I stand exactly 8ins along the wrench
  10. Maverick Hybrid engine pre-heater, any ideas for a DIY solution?

Under the exhaust, wonder why they had a problem with wires burning, complete mystery that, I bet their engineers are totally baffled
  11. Caught a Maverick working hard....

I think they just bring out the pilot's spare undies after a nasty crosswind landing.
  12. Maverick Hybrid engine pre-heater, any ideas for a DIY solution?

I think I'm starting to miss Haynes manuals for their workarounds and shortcuts  Not always, but if there was a quicker way to do something or a way to avoid using special tools they usually figured it out and told you. IDK if I actually got this from them or not or a tip from elsewhere...
  13. Insurance rates

Mine seemed high on a mid policy update to add it, but dropped at renewal. I think though there's a desirability factor, you can get big discounts when replacing an EB, but hybrids are more in demand. This results in higher replacement cost, plus higher attraction for theft.
  14. Maverick Hybrid engine pre-heater, any ideas for a DIY solution?

I'm in Southern ON, we only got a week of -15 continuous and spotty for a couple more. I think it hit -21 on the coldest start I had. The problem I got was the antennas being buried in snow meaning it wouldn't respond to remote Ford App starts..... it seems like a bit of a low signal spot where...
  15. Maverick Hybrid engine pre-heater, any ideas for a DIY solution?

Anyone wanna play with supersaturated sodium acetate? Like those hand warmers you boil to recharge, and click to activate. I figure you need a jacket of it around the engine and a solenoid remote to set it off, or the bell hammer of a clockwork alarm clock, or a mousetrap and a long piece of...
  16. Maverick Hybrid engine pre-heater, any ideas for a DIY solution?

Used to be able to get some pad heaters you could strap on your oil pan for cold climates, dunno if you'd maybe want to look into those.
  17. Introducing the RealTruck Universal Blinker Fluid Refill Kit 🔧

Are you planning to bring out some replacement wiring harness smoke? I have an old jar of Lucas, but hear you can't use it on this all digital stuff.
  18. (Article) The Feds Plan To Start Diluting Gasoline (E15)This May

If you put them vertical through snow season they can make as much off the backscatter from the snow as from the watery low angle direct light.
  19. (Article) The Feds Plan To Start Diluting Gasoline (E15)This May

Well basically, turn up at any gas station and it's like "Please sir, may I have a bowl of random hydrocarbon soup?" some random soup of the day jumble of decanes, nonanes, heptanes, octanes, benzenes and alcohols that comes out somewhere around the 88 MON+RON/2
  20. 👉🏻UPDATE👇🏻 Ford uses Torx PLUS ++ Here is the Difference

Soooo, hammer a robertson into them? Guilty secret, when torx were uncommon 30+ yrs back and it was most just the T10 or T15 you found in electronics, and not realllll tight, I used to jam the end of a triangular file into them.
