Just a curiosity question: How does Ford assign orders to dealers when the order is placed online directly from Fords āBuild My Fordā website? I wasnāt part of this type of process since I went directly to a dealership and sat with a salesman to ābuildā my Maverick. Does Ford just assign to...
I went to my dealership this morning and placed my carryover order with the same salesman that has kept in touch with me since last September. He did the paperwork on my order and said heād send me a copy or screenshot of the accepted order after the order banks opened this afternoon around...
Yeah, thatās pretty much what the salesman said. But the hybrid option is built in to the base MSRP. With EB, the base MSRP is $23,400ā¦.Hybris base MSRP is $24,900.. Therefore, any private offer reduction in base will be at least a partial rebate on the hybrid or the $2500 XL price increase...
Just did the paperwork for my carryover 23-24 MY. Total cost went up $4500. XL Hybrid base MSRP went from $20,995 to $24,990, plus $495 for red paint. I thought at one time that Iād rather wait for the 24 this close to the end of the model year. Now Iād be tickled pink if my 23 gets built in...
Cash from savingsā¦but Iāve had a lot of years to save up. My 12 year old Ranger 4x4 (93k miles) i bought for cash when it was only a year old. I donāt think Iāve had a car payment this century!
I was initially surprised that us old farts were the biggest demographic of Maverick buyersā¦but then I thought about it some more. Most of us are retired. We donāt need full size trucks to haul our stuff anymore. We tend to be more frugal. We have the patience to wait 6-26 months for delivery.
Iām not much of gadget guy. Not too fond of most āoptionsā. I probably wouldnāt use them anyway. My only options on my XL were a receiver hitch and a full size spare. The rest of the stuff I want (bed liner, window wind deflectors, mud flaps) Iāll have done after I leave the dealership.
Yep. Apparently, Ford is trying to push silver and carbonized gray lovers to move to XLT or Lariat. When I reorder my CG XL, Iāll just pay $500 and change to red instead of paying almost $3000 to move up to XLT.
Same here regarding HPRMā¦I went with Carbonized Gray, now theyāre snatching that away. Not a fan of blues or light grays (grey/green or gray/blue), or even black or white. I might have gone with terrain, but itās not available on XLs.
Yep. Nearly 75% of all cars are 1 of 4 colors (black, white, gray, silver), and Ford is taking two of those colors away from Maverick retail customers. If they really wanted the brand to stand out, they would tak away black and white!
Again, IDK. I would think that most fleets would be in white. I see gray and silver vehicles (of all types and brands) everywhere. Those seem to be very popular colors. You my be right about the carrot, but I donāt think itāll work.
Iām not sure, CG. The āorder gridā posted here on MTC is confusing to me regarding exterior/interior color choices. The heading seems to imply for all trim packages, and that all but one interior color is available in all trims and all exterior colors. Thatās a direct opposite of the MY23...
My ā23 XL Hybrid, Carbonized Gray, probably wonāt be built in ā23. In ā24, Carbonized Gray (and Iconic Silver) will only be available for fleet purchases. Why? I understand when colors are deleted from production due to lack of sales, but why remove colors from the general public and grant...
