  1. Does Rotary Shifter suck?

Like anything else that is new, it is taking awhile to get used to. Since I only have 780 miles on my Mav, I am still getting used to it. It is not in the way, but I wonder what would happen, if one was to spill a liquid on it. I, too, like the fact, if I turn off the engine and it isn't in...
  2. Printed Manual

    Thanks, for the tip.
  3. Printed Manual

I did receive a manual with my new Maverick. Having mentioned that: The page sizes are small, though the manual is thick. The photos in mine are quite faint. Working around the CYA material is drudgery. I am going to ask for a new manual, so I can at least discern what the photos are showing.
  4. Blind Spot Monitor not working

FMC, I think it is outstanding that you follow the concerns and problems listed here. I am sureb it will help with future revisions, etc.
  5. Fellow Maverick friends - I can no longer have a stubby

Thanks for all the input on that. I get all sorts of stations here in "flat" NWOH: Classic rock, Pop, Country, NPR, Classical Religious and Talk. As I use a portable CB on my Spyder RT reverse trike, adding a longer antenna doubled my reach in reception, as well as transmission. So it makes...
  6. Odd color interior

The interior colors and patterns surprised me at first, but I really like the denim (aka navy pier) now. I have learned to like all the colors in toto. The U.S. government is pushing low sheen black for all door and dash tops, as some law suites have, apparently, been filed for other brighter...
  7. Ford all weather floormats for Maverick - who manufactures it?

I don't know who manufactures them, but they fit well and properly in my Maverick. I have friends who have said their Weathertechs haven't fit all that well. However, the best I have experienced are the mats in my wife's 2022 Honda CR-V EX-L.
  8. Auto locking door when not in truck

I have had it happen only once. The other three doors were still unlocked.
  9. Over 200 miles today

I drove my Maverick XLT over 200 miles following my EWMA motorcycle touring chapter. I cannot ride yet after surgery, so drive it was. We were on 2 lane highways, 4 lane highways, interstates, country and village roads culminating in the Amish country of Ohio. There was stop and go, 2-5 mph...
  10. Using old plates

1/2 year registration and title for $25 on mine here in Ohio. Plates transferred with registration.
  11. Amazon emblem overlay

I bought mine from Amazon. Many suppliers, and all sorts of textures and colors.
  12. Key Fob Question

I have the XLT and I have used both the key FOB and my phone to start my Maverick. My wife and I were approaching it from a restaurant and it stated a good 60' away. The farther one stores the FOBs from the vehicle the faster the batteries deplete, as thee FOBs supposedly are always searching...
  13. Maverick XL delivery question

Did you have your dealer check on getting what you want from another dealer? My dealer has four Ford dealerships of their own, plus often finds the desired vehicle within 100-125 miles from other dealers. Usually a vehicle trade is made i.e. An edge for a Maverick, etc.. They send a dealer...
  14. 2023 Oil Changes at 2200 miles

I agree that time does not affect modern oil. Oil itself never deteriorates, but the additives do. Other than a 2500 mile break in, I am going to go with the mileage. If one feels better with the time a time quotient, then that is what that one should go by.
  15. Article: Americans Obsessed That Bigger Trucks = Better. Ford Maverick Proves The Opposite... (I like it too)!

My response: So what! Most Americans don't use the full capacity of their coupes, sedans, etc. I bought my Maverick because 1) I wanted a smaller volume vehicle than the Honda Passport I had. That was purchased to haul anything and almost everything , including pets. From NW Ohio to Florida...
