Fits my garage well, and leaves room for me to pass between it and My Can Am Spyder I park in front of it.

I would think that the tailgate itself might start to crease first. Also using a piece of plywood on the tailgate, that extends into the bed might spread the weight also. Good luck!
Remind me not to fill my vehicle next to the Maverick of the originator of this post. I too will fill on the side of caution.
BTW. Since I don't drive much, filling up more often does not allow for the absorption of water vapor that begins in about two to three weeks after gas is filled.

That is a beautiful Ranchero. Seems to be very clean and exceptionally well-maintained. Obviously, it is not a northern car that has seen winters and salt.
WOW! A real hardtail. I will admit he is well-spoken. He does show many facets of the vehicle, that I will never observe. However, eighty per cent of this review is his opinion. He does not have a grasp on the modern polymer products, as many are proving to be a better material for many...

I purchased the Lund textured deflector with my Ford Pass points. It fits and looks nice. Yes it uses the 3M tape system. Since I will not be driving in Ohio winter weather I am not worried about corrosion.
I use Simple Green and Dawn dish detergent (only on the wheels) with a mild brush on tougher areas. Not only easy on the paint, finishes and such, both are easy on the environment. Since I use it from the first, there is very little crud accumulation. That way I don't have to use it every wash.
