I’d just make sure to leave nothing of value in your car. An alarm will only notify you that someone was in your car but whatever they took is already gone.
Where I work we install Compustar Products and with the Drone option you will receive notification on your phone.
a few ways to do it:
get an amp with DSP processor built in: audiocontrol amps work great (PM me I may be able to help)
or put in a dsp in front of the current amp you have (i own a mx800.5)
The problem is the maverick radio doesn't have any EQ and gain level adjustments. This will clean up...
MDF and screws must have went down in price. I've built a few boxes in my day and at $325 shipped my time (the boxes I've built have taken a long time) and expectation level are both met. Your "quick and dirty" box does the job though!

I wasn’t saying to use one. You’d have to be some kind of really special(which I’m sure there is) to mess it up. I’ve used them for some industrial situations and never had an issue by following their steps.
My maverick will not get one.

Yes you have a nice tutorial on how to wire it. I’ve been installing 12v electronics into cars for 20 years now. I think I’ll be able to handle it.
I’ll check the Kia dealers after I hear from Tasca.
Hit the nail on the head man. I have a boat, motorcycle, and some things that go bang that take up a lot of my time. My under warranty car I can pay a place and it's cheap if you plan ahead some. I went though the same thing with fertilizing my lawn. It was 200 dollars more a year paying...
