Take a look at the detailed pictures from the Chicago show. There is a picture with the rear seat backrest forward. Looks like the inverter is installed on driver side.
It should be easy to wire your own set up and get a higher quality inverter with extra outlets as a diy.
The spread will be shorter. If your Yakima fits bed rails with pinch plates, they may be to wide for maverick rails. I would think Yakima will develop one or a metal grinder diy will do it
Thanks for the picture of back seat open with seat back! I hope they wire all trucks to where the inverter is so we can add a better inverter with other capabilities for More flexibility and uses.
The inverter supplied is lacking and it would be a great diy for power
Thanks. That is what I am thinking from looking at neighbors Bronco. There is some plastic screw on pieces to help keep the donut stable
i just need a little more room. May go up one tire size for additional clearance due to creek/river crossings to get to the double secret spots!!
Now I...
I have never had a car/truck that didn't have a full size spare. I would think the spare tire housing is the same size for either tire (Full size or donut tire) Does anybody who has had a truck/suv that has donut spare know if this is the case?
If I order a Maverick it will be XL/AWD/4k...
No complaining or complaint here just asking why to get a better understanding and trying to see a different perspective that I may be missing. The prevailing theme is to give for more money for a better trim package to get what I am willing to pay for that isn't offered. It would cost me...
They do. You can get a 4WD XL with tow package and FX4 for $34785. Ford plays their game and couples it with the STX package to be able to get it. For that price the Ford Ranger isn't in the running due to the Jeep Gladiator and Tacoma coming into the picture. The new Nissan Frontier...
Hard to tell this early.
1. If the Maverick acceptance rate is like the first year of the new Ranger there will be discounts or special financing to move inventory (The delays could affect this too)
2. It could really take off and dealers with go the mark up route but that will be temporary...
Exactly. They do it for the other trucks in their line and it doesnt cost them anymore money. I get it that they make a ton of profit on 4x4 and Fx for the people who go to the grocery store, soccer field and have to park it in a field and like the image of the decal. They will buy the...
I agree to a point but they already have the product in house and will get more money for an easy addition since all trucks are made on the same line. There isn't an upfit cost to them. It is a simple process for them to offer something that is already in house and they are only adding it to...
I really want to order a Maverick truck but Ford makes it hard with what packages are available on trim models. Anyone else questioning why FX4 package not available on XL trim? I just want a no frills truck that can go off trail for camping, fishing and to home depot. Tow my trailer to...
After market spray in since we have a great line x guy. Dealerships send touchup and used trucks to him to do. Add the mat for camping. The bedrug looks interesting
FWIW, Forrester switched to the CVT transmission in 2014. Our secondary car is a Forrester with the CVT and I am a trout fisher, mtn biker and hiker. The transmission has been fine on the roads you are talking about using. Only in a couple of areas has the AWD been important and it has been...
As Marcus says, "Depends on where you want to go" If going down a forest service road is it, the Hybrid would be fine but anything more I would want AWD. I don't know the ends and out of the hybrid battery for creek/river crossings. Seems like AWD vehicles are the best for this type of...
That is one of my concerns with the Maverick. I wish someone could take a picture of the underside rails of the bed. Is there a metal lip like traditional truck rail or did they not put a lip and just lay the plastic cap over it
If it is a lipped rail how much space for the pincher plates for...
I think when everyone can see the truck and its uniqueness hands on ( For people who werent around or forget what a true small truck is). They will realize you dont need all these aids motor companies have added to be able to use today’s monster trucks. That is/was the beauty of the compact...
