  1. What color would have been a no go for you?

Funny, I voted CO but that was the color I was originally interested in ordering. Except it is not Orange and that was the color I wanted (Orange). At the time I ordered it I still wasn't sure exactly how it looked, but then found out it was more schoolbus yellow so passed. There was a Ranger...
  2. 4K Tow Recall

I was advised the same thing from my salesperson. Mine is still enroute but was told I can't pick up until they have done the prep and fixed the recall for the trailer brake system.
  3. Parked next to another interesting small truck today

Weird, I just saw one of these parked on post during lunch. I was like WTH? I did pass an 'interesting' small truck this week. Weird looking Rivian. First time I have seen one.
  4. After 10 months waiting it's finally in my possession

Congrats! I was on the fence about the FE or not. I chose not to get it, but that was probably a mistake. Going to be a rare version is my guess.
  5. Tired of all these Mavericks....

I ordered at the end of September. It's built and enroute, pending dealer prep and fixing the trailer break recall. They gave me the railcar information on it but I refuse to check it, for fear I will become obsessed. Well, more obsessed.
  6. Dealer just offered me a Lariat for $40k

Maybe it's just a coincidence, but there is a tiny house add on your reply that I get... I had a house built in 2007 just before the crash. It lost 100k in value almost as soon as we moved in that took years to recover from. Just because the Market is hot now doesn't mean houses always go up in...
  7. Western Washington

Mine should be here by the end of the month. I didn't order it here, I ordered from Military Auto Sales in Italy, and they have an agreement with Titus-Will in Tacoma to do the dealer prep/paperwork. Hope they don't try and screw me as it's already financed and being paid for. I got a call from...
  8. Maverick goes dead

I had a Ford Topaz once that had a loose ground wire that would do that. Would happen randomly and took me forever to find/sort it out. Actually that car hard terrible wiring all around, why did you make me remember that car OP? Hope you get it sorted!
  9. MOST 2022 NEW MAVERICK OWNERS ARE NEW PICK UP BUYERS

It seems like the two extremes this is a hit with. New pickup owners and long time pickup owners. Me, I have owned a ton of vehicles and 9 pickups already (3 F150's, 1 Ranger, 2 Dodge Adventurers, 2 Dodge Ram's, 1 GMC) but all were bought used except 1 F150. In fact this will only be the 4th new...
  10. Rock chip in windshield on the way back from getting PPF

My F150 was a windshield rock magnet. Hoping the profile for the Maverick is a little better in that regard. I had sooooo many cracks filled on my 2012 F150...
  11. Lariat Lux: did you try the options before hand?

I went Lariat Lux and still haven't even sat in a Maverick. I have yet to drive a vehicle with ACC but am looking forward to it. I love the Active-X heated seats in my wifes EcoSport, and that one doesn't have ACC or Lane Centering. I have been not real excited about the lane centering in...
  12. I had to cave.

I kind of sort of caved today too, but that was to buy my wife this EcoSport as we had no car at all. It is her first ever new car though it seems appropriate to have bought an Ecosport on April Fools day. I like it though. As a second car I think it’s great.
  13. Touchdown!

I have yet to see a HPR out here in Washington, maybe I’ll be the first! Mine is on the move finally after two months of waiting post build. I loaded mine up too but no ADM. I would have bought a Ranger instead but all of those on the lots also have a 5K ADM, and used F150’s with 100k miles cost...
  14. Truck broke down! Front axle and transmission issue after 60 miles

I get being a fan of certain brands etc. What I will never understand is someone like TROLLBY joining a site just to bash on a product they probably don’t have to make themselves feel better about the one they like. I mean, there are a million better things you could be doing with your time...
  15. Is the Hybrid powerful enough to tow a boat?

I am just saying it is a really bad idea and why. You or anyone else can use your Maverick how you want. Just saying I have seen FWD SUV's have trouble on boat ramps that had a greater towing capacity than the Mav. Never mind you are maxing out that towing capability and will wear out that...
  16. Spotted: TRUCK LOAD FULL OF MAVERICKS

Nope, no HPR. I saw my first one in the wild today driving down the I-5. White with steelies going past JBLM.
  17. Is the Hybrid powerful enough to tow a boat?

Two Wheel drive vehicles get in trouble on boat ramps all the time, The issue you run into with a FWD is that all the weight being on the back reduces your front weight when pulling it out making it problematic if you have a steep, wet, or slick incline. There is no margin for error with this...
  18. Is the Hybrid powerful enough to tow a boat?

You are discounting that there is trailer weight, gear, etc. You also have NO idea what kind of ramp launch he/she will be using. It's a bad idea. Not just from spec's but being a light two wheel drive vehicle will pose it's own problems.
  19. Travel trailers for the hybrid

I like that, was also considering a Rove but looking for more options.
  20. Is the Hybrid powerful enough to tow a boat?

Never mind the fact you will be over the limit that it's supposed to tow, you will regret trying that the first time you can't get it out of the water and up the ramp.
