I've never really been a sunshade person before. I don't know that I have it in me to become one now, but that does look like a smartly designed one. I'll give y'all that.
But hey, hurry up with the '26 door inserts! Those things aren't getting *less* prone to scratches.
I sold my 13 yr old Mini to CarMax for >50% more than my Ford dealer was offering in trade.
The wild part is that CarMax didn't bother to inspect ANYTHING. I was honest in my online form about the condition, but I didn't need to be, because within five minutes of pulling up for my appt, they...
I know it's a remarkably long run, but I do, in fact, still have the Maverick I bought brand new all the way back a week and a half and about 500 miles ago.
I feel like, no matter which storefront I Iook at, the actual letters for sale are from Tufskinz. Is there another manufacturer?
In any case, I bought the Tufskinz. They seem fine.
If I could bring myself to drop another $2k on a brand new truck (and telling my wife that I had done so...), I would have already replaced the 19" Lariat wheels with the Bronco Sport Heritage 17" and a set of Defender 2s.
I dig the color and hey, they also weigh less.
Interesting. That bit is, I think, the most successful use of cheaper materials in the whole truck. Compared to the blue above and below it, it's a design powerhouse.
But yeah, if you can get it apart, it should be wrappable.
Removing the system seems a little silly to me, but I will say that given the relative frequency with which I need the Trailer Assist vs needing to adjust the volume of the stereo, I'd rather they have swapped their positions.
Absolutely. Eruption is a fantastic color. I very nearly bought a '25 because of it (the announcement of Light Blue stayed my check-writing hand).
But I'd much rather trade it for one the more boring perennial colors than the ~2 annual fun colors.
A PHEV Maverick would be the perfect vehicle for my life. Give me even just 25mi of electric range like the 4XE got and I'd never need to buy gas in town.
It would also almost certainly cost $50k+. And for that money, I wouldn't just complain about the shitty interior plastics, but DEMAND better.
I agree on the two-tone thing, but I think it calls for white accents, a la the Heritage edition Bronco and Bronco Sport, rather than black. But I do think black accents would be *easier* because of all the existing black plastics. Adding white is very much paddlung upstream.
First pic is my...
Nice! Love this color. Be forewarned, though, that there are a fair few here who seem to take its mere existence as a personal assault on their masculinity.
A couple of months ago, they straight up said that they have no plans to enter that market anytime soon. I forget the exact quote, but it was something about the segment being too small.
And, if I were guessing, I'd say that they think a smaller model will just end up siphoning off buyers who...
The truth is that I *wish* a better manufacturer was building something that checked as many boxes for me as the Maverick. Or at the very least, that there was *any* other model putting enough pressure on Ford in this segment that they'd need to step up their fit and finish game.
But there's...
My first thought, with the limited info we have, is to double check the physical connections. If volume or bass are the primary triggers, it could be vibration related.
Do all the channels cut out at once? If so, that means the problem is pretty early in the signal path.
