  1. Toyota CEO confirms: RAV4-based Unibody Truck is coming for the Maverick!

How are we 8 pages into this thread and people are still being fooled by that 3rd party AI render? Y'all. C'mon. *If* this thing ever makes it to market, there's precisely 0% chance that its design will be based on the 5th Gen, XA50 RAV4.
  2. Toyota CEO confirms: RAV4-based Unibody Truck is coming for the Maverick!

If they do end up bringing this to market, can we all agree right here, right now, to call it the RAVerick?
  3. Toyota CEO confirms: RAV4-based Unibody Truck is coming for the Maverick!

If it's hybrid or phev and roughly competitive with the Maverick's capabilities, I'll be interested. I definitely cross-shopped the Mav and the Tacoma. The Taco is a superior truck, but what I really wanted and needed was a better car, with a small bed.
  4. Anyone else out there make regular use of N?

This feels like a moderately wackadoo solution in search of a problem to me, but I doubt you're doing any actual *harm,* so go nuts.
  5. New owner: ‘26 in *that* color

Light Blue is significantly more cyan, and maybe a hair more saturated, than Glacier Metallic. And yeah, like you assume, has no flake.
  6. New owner: ‘26 in *that* color

I don't think we need to look to Nascar or AMC or anywhere else to find analogues for Light Blue on a Ford Truck:
  7. Tiny Truck, Tiny House

    It doesn't suck.

  9. Introducing the All-New BAKFlip MX4 EZ-Lift Tonneau Cover

Seems like it's mostly addressing problems more likely to occur on larger and/or taller vehicles, but it looks like a nice design.
  10. If you reordered your Maverick TODAY… what trim are you picking?

The Lariat is within spitting distance of being the vehicle the Maverick deserves to be.
  11. If you bought Maverick again today… Hybrid or EcoBoost

From 2022-2024, this was a legitimately difficult choice. From 2025 on... there's the Hybrid AWD and then there are the other options, neither of which I find make a compelling case for themselves for either my needs or wants.
  12. Does Forscan allow for changing the crossover frequencies between the various speakers?

Also an issue, but I keep spares on hand. On the whole, though, I'm much more comfortable underneath the car or in the engine bay than I am removing plastic panels. And that's on cars with plastics that DON'T permanently scratch if you glance at them too aggressively.
  13. Does Forscan allow for changing the crossover frequencies between the various speakers?

I guess I need to get over my discomfort with working on interior panels. I fucking HATE those little clips; I always struggle to get them to reseat properly.
  14. This will be the last Ford I buy

I'm honestly surprised that manufacturers are still bothering to put gps into cars. Seems like the sort of thing that should have gone way of the CD Player by now. Maybe that's why they've moved to the (terrible) subscription model: they know that most people don't care and will just use their...
  15. Ford Midsize EV Truck News: Ford Skunkworks (EVDC) - first ever behind the scenes tour; sneak peek at EV pickup [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

For a certain type of person, new words are things to be mocked, not things to be learned. It's best to avoid that type of person, here and everywhere.
  16. Does Forscan allow for changing the crossover frequencies between the various speakers?

Yeah. The truth is I only care about a car stereo being good *enough,* but the the door rattle on heavyish bass hits (it was Licensed to Ill that first raised the issue) leaves room for improvement.
  17. Does Forscan allow for changing the crossover frequencies between the various speakers?

Apologies if I'm overlooking documented functionality somewhere; frankly I find the various Forscan charts a bit difficult to parse. I've seen numerous references to the ability to set a "flat" EQ, but I'm not at all certain that's what I *want.* It seems to me that the front door drivers are...
  18. 🚀 Giveaway Time: Wolfbox SmartSlide Electric Tonneau Cover! 🚀

So the Revolver X4 is actually the tonneau cover I've most been eyeing. What makes the rubber bits along the edges go all wavy like that?
