sorry if mentioned already...I glanced through 3 pages and didn't see it...
In the summer here in Fresno the interiors of vehicles easily get over 120 degrees in direct sun. Keeping the window open all the time will help with cab overheating and interior material degradation.
We typically...
was expecting to see a Mav vs a Bronco Sport Big Bend comparison. Have both ordered so naturally was curious...
Glad to see the AWD is an off road beast.
yah they have their issues! The first ones Ford made in '61 would stand up on the front bumper in a panic stop. So Ford recalled them and bolted 200lb cast iron weights in the back, sandwiched between the fuel tank and the bed.
Then there is the engine inside the doghouse, nowhere for heat...
I still have the pair of 5 windows with the big six engine and Ford nine inch rear ends. Other things have taken priority, but I will get back to restoring them one day. They put a big grin on my face, and I love the classic curves and huge 8' bed. I'd turn them into daily drivers if they...
yes, I remember that truck. Chevy has an ad that is now a youtube video comparing the corvair to the econoline. A guy using one hand to stop the econoline from moving on icy ground. The corvair of course muscling around and generally showing up the econoline.
Actually...had 3...(they somehow reproduced when I got two).
That one in the photo with the "black appearance package" got sold to a winery in Santa Cruz, it hangs out doing nostalgic winery tasting duty...kind of a lot easier job than being a Farm Truck. Farm truck duty was what I did with it...
I agree, trucks meant to do work, not just sit around looking pretty.
No mav yet...here is a photo of my old '66 Ford Econoline hauling firewood. 1500lb bed capacity. Yep, a unibody like the Mav.
I like them pretty too...same truck a few years later.
I read that as well. But Tim said a few post prior: "That's what Ford is saying, I don't know if I believe it. I think because they have too many hybrid and XL orders they want to give people the opportunity to make the switch without penalty but the system doesn't let you make that change...
They would likely have more takers if they offered free AWD with a hybrid to EB switch. Not nearly as remarkable a difference between the two FWD versions in terms of vehicle capability; but that AWD opens the door to other options up (4k, Lariat w/ CP360+, etc.)
@FMC, are you reading?
That's about it. What is sad to see are new order '23's getting built and soon delivered, with many of us with '22 orders not scheduled. Ford said they were going to give priority to rollovers....then cancelled '22 VINs were to be priority...but at the end of the day, the allocation system...
The order date remains the same. The priority code is set by the dealer, and should remain the same. Some have a system that they follow (eg by order date, earlier orders get better priority).
But, your dealer could be doing any number of things. All orders at "10". More profitable orders...
I hear what you are saying. But while it appears that Ford took in too many orders for the hybrid, all we are told is that the percentage of the hybrid is way higher than they planned.
It does not necessarily follow that Ford can't build these orders. Sure, they will have to step up and...
I am in the same boat, a rollover '22 with a '23 hybrid.
I believe Tim said it isn't possible to switch trims or engines in the system, since order banks are closed (this would be considered a new order with a new date).
@fordvideoguy Tim can you confirm?
I rolled the dice and added it in to my rolled over '22 that is sitting at PC14. I'm hoping my order might get picked earlier; if not, it should not hurt the date. The factory SIBL looks great and I wanted to put in something to protect the bed.
