I put the Avalon King coating this weekend in the driveway. It was very user friendly.
The prep work was not. It was 5 hours of washing and decontamination. The truck was clean when I started. The coating took another hour and it is much like waxing a car. However, the coating instructions...
My list:
Bed Rack- custom steel
Yakima roof rack to match the bed rack to make it a ladder rack
Infinity Reference speakers front and rear
Kilmat sound dampening in front doors
Cruise Control forscan and steering wheel mod
TSR forscan mod
Ceramic Coating
Magnetic phone holder for cubby
MA1...
I noticed the acm module with forscan today. There must be a dozen pid configurable codes. In the Bronco's forum they were able to get full range audio to the rear speakers. I tryed it with the Mav but the codes are completely different. If someone has the B&O system it would be great to...
Here it is from a different seller. You can get the bar down to 22.5" by simply cutting the upright tubes. I cut the front one down to 21.5" to match the Yakima bars but to get it that low you need to weld a new nipple on the upright. Where it sits on the bed rail it is a little wide, I used...
This one was $100 on ebay delivered. They are cheap. Some easy modification required. Make sure all exposed metal is coated especially the edges where you cut the tubes. Iron rusts.
The round bars are quiet. Most of the overland racks will whistle in the wind.
Went back Thursday The dealer and showed them the photos from this thread. They ordered the part. Waiting for a call. I'm afraid to touch anything myself. The Service Consultant wants to blame the customer. The first time I brought it in he blamed my phone cord. The second time, the charger...
I figured something else out. If you go into tow or slippery mode. Hill descent is engaged even on my bare bones xl that does not have a Hill descent button. It kind of acts like low.
Here is my ladder rack mated with two removable Yakima aerobars. It gives 9 feet of support and works well for hauling lumber and my 16 foot yak. The front bedrack needs to be 1" shorter than the rear to be flat with the roof rack. I like how the vertical supports mimic the contours of the cab...
Great thread, I was trying to figure out how to control this. I must have been pushing it inadvertently. When I come down my driveway which is 1/2 mile of 20 percent slope it holds whatever speed the truck is going unless you press the accelerator. It also hold your stop without your foot on...
My dad just gave me a wool blanket that had been stored 20 years in a barrel with mothballs. My wife would not even let that thing in the house. I could cut it up and sell you each a piece.
I like the pepper tape. Honda had to do something after putting their hoses together with peanut oil.
I have been back to the dealer twice to get it fixed. I have another appointment Thurs. and I'll hand them this. Hopefully, they will not keep the truck till the part comes in. I did verify that the cable is missing on my truck as well.
I love my little jump pack. Never used it on the Mav but it has a usb outlet charger and a big flashlight that were handy when the power went out. I have used the jumper for other vehicles. It is much easier and safer than jumper cables. I recommend it.
When I replaced the door speakers there were only two wires to the speaker. Nothing going from there to the tweeter so I could not install the crossover supplied by the speaker manufacturer without running a new wire from the door speaker to the tweeter. I assume the tweeter wire comes straight...
