Note that the documentation doesn't call it a "full-sized" spare, but rather a "conventional" spare tire (to differentiate between donut and non-donut). That's probably how they get around not providing (or having the capability to fit underneath the vehicle) a tire that's truly the same...
Without seeing the specific connector it's impossible to know for sure (and I don't have a Maverick handy to confirm), but it could be a contact sensor to see if the seat belt is fastened. Though on the Maverick, I don't know if the seatbelt is attached to the seat, or the floor. So if it's...
So a question - not wanting to get into a debate on the financial merits of getting an extended warranty or not, as that's a different discussion. But I'm wondering - if a person has an extended warranty (from Ford, not a 3rd party), are they more likely to take their vehicle in for warranty...
In my current truck (not a Maverick), I found a really cheap new-condition ridged one-piece DIBL that was really inexpensive for what it was, and have had no regrets with it in place. I've never pulled it out to check on bed scratches or rust, but I didn't buy the truck to be a beauty queen...
I am anticipating buying an extended warranty, but am waiting until I've had the Mav for a few months to make sure it's something that I'll want to hold onto for the long term and use for road trips. If I decide not, then I won't purchase the extended warranty, or at least will purchase a much...
If you're trying to pull in an AM HD station (which, I believe, are quite rare to have an AM HD station), I'd first check your local stations websites to see if they even do AM HD radio. It's possible that no stations in your area do AM HD.
Ford has kicked the can down the road so far with the delay after delay in getting a fix released for the backup camera issue that I am not assuming any target date for the fix, despite what anyone from Ford, or a dealer has said.
Loved the Bronco II when I was growing up. Really liked the styling and higher seating position, but yet on a smaller frame. Then I finally bought an earlier model (2003) Escape, which has a similar styling to the Bronco II. Loved that Escape, but eventually a rear wheel well and shock mount...
It's a very poor wording on that website page. If you look elsewhere in the specs for the '25, you'll see that the "Rear" part of that wording is actually a header to the following features, and not part of the heated seats words. But someone at Ford (or their outsourced marketing company)...
As a person who daily works with hardware and software in another industry, my guess is that the backup camera issue is a lot deeper than just bad code that could easily be fixed by a software engineer, since a fix hasn't been put out yet. Likely they're up against hardware or processor...
One thing that slightly bothered me is a couple things he said weren't on a Maverick were dual-zone HVAC, and a sliding rear window for his dog. Both are available in higher trims, just not the trim/options he has on this specific XLT truck.
I think you could get the remote start FOB, but that won't auto-magically give you remote start capability, as the truck itself needs to be capable of it as well.
When purchasing a new vehicle from a dealer, we ask as part of the purchase that they do not apply any dealer decals or install any dealer license plate frames. So far, that's worked fine. The only time it hasn't is when we purchase an in-stock or used vehicle off the lot, but even then, if...
Does the thumb drive only interface with Sync4 via the two USB ports on the front dash, or does it interface with all of the USB ports in the cabin (i.e. the ones at the back row seating)? My current vehicle has a USB port inside the center arm rest which works out really well to plug in a...
I think the original question was if one could set the default setting of the screen to calm or off to be that way every time they start the vehicle. I'm guessing that now, the default starting screen isn't what they want it to automatically display each time.
I'd recommend to just program them to something different, or worst case, pick some frequency that isn't associated with a local station and program them all to a non-used frequency.
The Maverick's gas engine will run to either provide needed power for driving, or could run as needed to be charging up the high voltage battery, as the battery can take charge either from regenerative braking, or via the gas motor through a generator. Although I don't have a hybrid yet, I'm...
Since it's been several months already since the stop-sale, my guess is they don't really have a solution yet and keep kicking the can down the road for a fix. At this rate, the 2026 order bank will be open before the 2024s that are on the stop-sale will be able to be sold.
For those of us that live in cold climates where putting up wipers is normal procedure during winter weather, I wonder if putting on a strip of door guard (that's usually used for protecting the edge of a door against door dings) would work to put on the edge of the hood so if one does forget...
