The harness is fine, you just need to swap to LED taillight bulbs because since the harness pulls extra power the truck shuts off power thinking there may be a short or an electrical problem.

I have a hitch brake light. It plugs into a harness that connects to the driver side taillight harness. It flashes a few times when the brake is pressed. No BLIS errors.
