While I donāt have first hand experience with a truck cap on my Maverick, I did have one on my Ram and chose to go with a tonneau this time.
I found out quickly how annoying it is to have a truck cap when you want to move larger items. (Like a bed frame or dresser) I had to borrow a trailer to...
Iām in the same boat as you. I might design something and 3D print it and figure out how to do a switch back style signal. I donāt like the sequential style like most aftermarket lights have.
I have this one. (the bar and the harness)
Iām unsure if the harness will work with the 25+ models though.
I did have an issue with it causing the driver side taillight to not work, but it swapped the bulbs in it to LEDs and used FORScan to turn off hyper flash and itās been fine since.
once the outdoor high temps are above 65 I put my rear window vents in. For only around $30 theyāre amazing. Keep interior temps acceptable even in 85+ degree days. Theyāre a bit noisy at highway speeds but the extra airflow is great.
I typically get 94 from Sunoco and throw in a gallon or 2 of E-85 (Iām running a COBB tune) and noticed it shows knock on just 94 and it goes away with a little e-85.
Right, wider tire but the same aspect ratio means larger diameter. OP didnāt mention an aspect ratio. Could have been 235/60-17 which is a smaller overall diameter tire.
70mph on the speedo means 71.2mph actual speed.
I noticed my speedometer is off by more than that much with the same size...
225 to 235 is not a larger diameter tire. That is the tire width. Unless the tire aspect ratio is the same, but it wouldnāt change enough to necessitate changing anything with FORScan.
Lighting output worth the investment?
Iām on the fence about them, and will probably order a new grille and some fogs and indtall everything at the same time.
Iāve had something similar happen.
first get an absorbent powder and work it into the seat to try to get as much oil out as possible and then follow up with a powdered dish soap mixed with a little water and form a paste and scrub the seat with it. I use a soft bristle brush on the end of a low...
Thatās the tonneau I have.
Iāve had it for 2 years so far and itās been nearly flawless. The only issue I have noticed is the clamps it uses at the tail gate end absolutely need to be coated every so often so they donāt rust/corrode.
