  1. Update: Maverick eCVT hybrid transmissions have started production

Ah, I have an old hydrostatic Cub Cadet daily driver. Nice. 1st I've heard L gear described like that.
  2. CVT thoughts/concerns

Jatco?! OP, where did your info come from? Where does this misinformation keep coming from?! Many, many places have called B.S. on it. The HF45 (and HF35) are made by FoMoCo. Older gen eCVTs were made by Aisin. Jatco was never involved.
  3. EcoBoost Maverick, really ?

Think about that ... this is like riding a bike. My body can power my bike at 20mph and will use less calories than at 10mph?! I can ride my fat ass around faster and burn LESS energy?! This sounds like old Infomercial's promises during late night TV!! "Because the Shift-o-Matic gearing on...
  4. Update: Maverick eCVT hybrid transmissions have started production

That L gear has been brought up by Escape & Fusion Hybrid owners. They say the affect on driving in L feels like harder braking. The owner's manual says it's meant for engine braking but owners say this "braking" happens even without the ICE running. My guess is: L gear adjusts the...
  5. Update: Maverick eCVT hybrid transmissions have started production

  6. EcoBoost Maverick, really ?

"They" = the EPA's dyno lab. They aren't driving at all but punch some computer calculations together based on sensors. And then folks say "That ain't real world; I can get better MPG." No you cannot get better MPG. The EPA synthetic test is 60mph max. Everyone drives insanely fast...
  7. 80k+ Maverick reservations so far! (per Ford's Q2 earnings call)

Where did the OP get the word "reservation"? Reporters during the call said Jim used the word "order" not "reservation". Reservations were lead gen, at least that's what my sales & marketing coworkers would call it. Sure it looked like a Build & Order website from the customer's end but...
  8. EcoBoost Maverick, really ?

"Real" truck folks will say everyone here is wrong because "real" trucks get 4x4 with locking, not this AWD or FWD.
  9. Video & Pics: Cactus Gray Maverick Lariat FX4 w/ Protective Film, Black Wheels, Hard Tonneau [@ EAA Airventure]

I registered & was about to buy tickets ... but then read that. Locked?! whomp whomp
