To DeanR - try 303 Aerospace Protectant on your exterior plastic. You can basically use it on interior and exterior plastics as well as tires. I use it and it is a product that isn't a dust and dirt magnet. It doesn't shine like many others but most of the others do attract dust and dirt...

I factory ordered the protective paint film. It is applied properly and at only 2k miles is doing its job. I find it easy to remove bugs and stuff from the film but it does have flexibility to it so I'm careful about how much I put pressure on it. For some reason it did not slow my order.
