  1. Ford's offerings

Agreed except the maverick is the spiritual successor to the fusion.
  2. Is Anyone Else Seeing What I Am Seeing?

If you want to do real truck things, you need a real truck. I don’t want a real truck, I want a practical commuter hence maverick
  3. Is Anyone Else Seeing What I Am Seeing?

It’s not a real truck. If you want a real truck, spend the money and get a real truck. Seems simple.
  4. Full 3" air intake makes... NO GAIN!

Sigh. that’s my point. If ford could get 26/17 from using a different cai they would so they could brag about the figures in a brochure. Putting a cai or a k/n filter on a stock vehicle is like tuning on 87 octane. Futile and a waste of time and money.
  5. Full 3" air intake makes... NO GAIN!

It’s almost as if a multi billion dollar company doesn’t test their powertrains for the best power to economy with longevity in mind before they bring a product to market. šŸ¤”
  6. For those willing to go a few dollars over MSRP

Someone should mail that to Farley so he can put that talk he does to use and not send that dealer another maverick, ever
  7. Really Low Tow Rating for non 4K

    Towing capacity 8900 pounds?
  8. Maverick or Santa Cruz

I like the Santa Cruz better, but I only like the limited at 41k. Maverick only wins because it’s almost 15k cheaper in the configuration I like.
  9. Brew City Boost 2.0L Tunes

Point is, any aftermarket tune on 87 is ragged edge in my opinion. There are higher octane fuels for a reason. Still waiting for proof otherwise.
  10. Agree or Disagree With Jalopnik? - The Ford Maverick Is A Great Truck — It's Also Part Of The Problem

Other manufacturers sell small cars profitably. Have you ever looked at Civic or Corolla sales? When it comes to small cars, the fact is ford built crap. The transmission issues alone were enough to kill them. And their first answer was the ecosport šŸ˜‚ ok. If the maverick is troublesome, all of...
  11. Escape vs Maverick

I feel like if you are looking at a 2.0 or hybrid small suv there are better choices over an escape.
  12. Escape vs Maverick

Agreed. 1.5 is a worthless engine. The 2.5 naturally aspirated Mazda that ford put in the escape/fusion until 2019 is the waaaaaay better choice. Better engine by far with same hp rating.
  13. Shifting to park while driving

VSS vehicle speed sensor needs to show the vehicle isn’t moving for it to go into park. someone needs to run theirs out of gas running 70 on the expressway to see if it goes into neutral though!
  14. Brew City Boost 2.0L Tunes

First off, I’m not talking about trans tuning which sure can make a difference. i was commenting on tuning a 2.0 for 87 octane. Like I said, makes no sense to me and I would like to see the proof. Tuning something on the ragged edge using 87 seems counterproductive.
  15. Fulfilling 2022 orders

    Ford’s proprietary ā€œmarket basket formulaā€
  16. Brew City Boost 2.0L Tunes

We can disagree here. I’d have to see the results to become a believer. 87 octane and tune shouldn’t be used in the same sentence imo.
  17. Ford sends out (blanket spam) email -- "An Important Update About Your Order"

might be some flexibility with expiration, but when they expire from non use you don’t lose the allotment, you can just get a new pin.
  18. Ford sends out (blanket spam) email -- "An Important Update About Your Order"

Pin only good for 6 months, and if you use plan you are supposed to keep for 6 months before selling, or risk losing future plans.
  19. Ford sends out (blanket spam) email -- "An Important Update About Your Order"

I mean what do you expect ford to do? And yes, you should maybe take a look at your life and be happier. Don’t stress over the little things like a car order.
