For me it's a time thing. Driving back and forth to the dealer plus waiting around for them to change my oil and come up with a half dozen other BS upcharge "recommended replacement" items equals 2+ hours of my day wasted when I could do the same thing myself in under 20 minutes. The fact...
Thanks to another member here I now have a 2023 Maverick XLT Lux to drive around while I wait for my 2024 Lariat to be built. Now the hard part will be deciding which one to keep once it finally comes in. Curiously, the dealer had almost exactly the same truck on their lot and it was getting...
Have a '24 on order. I have always shied away from black vehicles, but this will be my third. First was an Escort that I owned in a cold climate. Wasn't too bad. The second was a Camaro SS convertible, garage kept and only driven on nice days. I'm not sure about going black for a daily...
Against my better judgment I ordered one in Shadow Black because it looks so damn cool with the BAP. I still may change it to Atlas Blue because I don't like washing my vehicle every day.
That's why I'm buying a 23 while I wait for a 24. Even with a 1.2k markup it still comes out 1.5k cheaper than almost the same thing ordered for 24. I wanted a Lariat but will take what I can get for now.
I hope that remains true whenever my '24 Lariat comes in next year. I bought a '23 XLT to hold me over until then and it'd be nice to sell or trade it and not lose a bunch.
I did a road trip in a Flex last Saturday. Nice ride, but I can't get over the looks.
The Maverick is economical, practical, and it actually looks great.
1k over on a '23 is probably still a lot cheaper than MSRP on a '24. I'm paying $1200 over for a '23 and it still ends up $1500 cheaper than the exact same truck minus the keypad built as a '24.
Ordered a Lariat hybrid in August, but I don't want to wait until next summer or longer to get it, so I'm buying a '23 XLT hybrid from a member here. It should be delivered in a week or so. When the '24 comes in I'll have to decide if I really want the Lariat or just keep the XLT, as it is...
I ordered mine August 24th. Same thing except Onyx black and BAP. The dealer said to expect it next summer. I can't wait that long, so I'm buying a 23 XLT hybrid off a member here. Then when the 24 comes in I'll have to make a decision.
Big drop in VZW quality since they went to 5G. I especially like it when I'm in the middle of a major East Coast city, well over a million people, and I can't get any data and calls drop.
Again, the sliding rear window is standard on the Lariat and the ugly ass interior is avoided with the BAP. Both of which I ordered. It annoys me that I had to spend and extra $1600 for a normal interior color that takes Ford absolutely nothing extra to produce, but it's still a good deal...
Long time Dodge fan for trucks and Toyota for cars. I needed a daily driver that gets great mileage. I didn’t need another truck because I already have a Ram that I will keep forever, but I love the concept of being able to do some light truck stuff and still get economy car mpg. Nobody else...
