I bought my Ecoboost so I could enjoy the feeling of a small V-8’s power. It delivers.
23 in town,
27 in my Appalachian mountains,
31 mpg on flat interstate roads
at 85-90 mph. The Turbo makes this happen.
18,800 flawless miles on my 2024
AWD Lariat.
Handles like a dream now that I’m on good...
When you answer a survey like that or respond in any manner to ANY query what so ever you get flagged and instantly added to a data mining list and your info gets sold.
You will not notice right away the extra phone solicitation calls or the additional email adds you receive.

Another tid bit of useless life experience,
Tanker driver gets to his last stop and someone miscalculated the drop. He was suppose to offload 3,000 gallons of regular but the stop could only take 2,000 gallons.
Dispatch will find him a place to drop that last thousand gallons on the way back...
My Genius 1 goes on about once a month for 24-48 hours. 18 months and 18,000 miles so far and no problems.
Hot Pepper Red,
I like the way it changes with the light.
As tires wear down their circumference gets smaller. Takes more revolutions per mile.
I’ve always wondered if that could be a factor.
In the finicky world of Hybrid tech it just might be something to,,,,
Contemplate on the ‘Tree Of Woe’

That was most likely water in the ground tank.
And or lots of other sediments.
I use BP and the station goes through tankers really quick.
Always pick a station that pumps a shit ton of fuel. Fresher fuel is good.

The whole mess goes in an envelope in the glove box when I sell or trade it in, After the dealer sees it. I met a guy who bought my trade in once. He appreciated the paperwork.
They all do that one. Never seen it be negotiable.
The salesman’s commission comes out of that one.
Your price sounds good. Buy the Maverick and
Fagetaboutit !
So,
Nobody has solved anything.
I didn’t think so.
Ya’all you Youngers,
Us boomers are dying out,
The Gen X’ers are retiring.

Just keep designing stuff that,
No body needs or wants,

And will trade in/up before it expires.
$9,000 for a tranny,
I’ve considered the risk and I thinks it’s very small.
But still I’m not letting that happen to me.
My warranty covers all the expensive crap and then some.
I just unclipped and checked mine, nothing at all. I do have mud flaps.
But there might be other reasons it gets up under there.
Op,
Do you drive in muddy water ? Or off the pavement?
I personally think Ford leaves All those cavities and places MABETT makes covers for on purpose.

I’d ask for a truck I could actually use or throw a moving blanket down and if I scratch up that bed so be it. As for the $ 500 charge.
I’d not pay it.
But I doubt my dealer would put me in a position like that.
