My sense is Ford is doing its best (within its corporate reality) to provide a quality product to meet the needs of its customers. My Maverick hybrid surpasses all my expectations. Including 45.6 mpg. And what an incredible out-the-door price! ( $19,058)
Donāt throw out the baby with the bath water! I am sad that some are suffering issues. But there are many, many others with no issues at all. My ā23 Mav with now 3200 miles has performed beyond my expectations and with no issues.
I remember when I received my ābuild dateā. Exciting time. I Got my XL two months ago. After 17 months wait. It has been worth the wait. A great truck!
But damn Ford for allowing this to happen. They built a hundred thousand mustangs in a few months after release in 1964 1/2.
Way, WAY over...
I love my Maverick. But if they had an electronically dumbed down version, No screen, no automatic anything. Maybe even with hand cranked windows and rubber floor mats,
I would trade down.
Itās not quite yet āyour basic truckā.
Jeez, plugged in, everything works fine for on the road communication via the screen. Unless youāre trying to do internet. But that can wait til your destination.
My Maverick windshield seems to smack more bugs than previous trucks. Iām going with a front mounted bug deflector. Several on the market now.
Any thoughts on best ones?
I agree w comments above. My hybrid Maverick has done the same since new. Lots of noises, clunks, whistles, braking vibrations and groans. Itās the new way of hybrids.
3500 miles and itsās still keeps going!
Itās a darn good truck.
Free lunch! My Ford dealer, Incappreciation of my 13 month Maverick wait, bought my lunch at a restaurant down the road. He had an account there. $15.53 not much but it will bring me back in the future
I hear terrible stories of parking lot hit and runs around the country. With callous outcomes. I just had my Maverick backed into at the supermarket. The guy was waiting for me and offered to write a check on the spot. We agreed to get an estimate.
. Life is good in the State of Maine!
Seriously.
You guys must be kidding! $2500 over msrp?? Negotiate your best deal on a new one, place your order. And wait.
My Stripped XL 2023 is worth the $19k I paid for it. But no more. Jeez, itās only a truck.
Shorter cab would certainly appeal to some. For me, the current version is a great family vehicle. Fits in the garage, Rides, drives and is comfortable for 4 maybe 5 folks. And unlike my old F-150 my wife is comfortable driving it.
