I ordered 17 September 2022, 2.0, Fx4, full size spare and a block heater. Nothing constrained, ordered as soon as the dealer opened on the second day the bank was opened.
Got the email from ford 3 days later thanking me for ordering. Have received two since then, pretty much has been hurry up...
I looked at the Santa Cruise first, but the all wheel drive with the options I wanted was about $9,000 more up here. Plus the only dealer is about 360 miles south of here.
Um technically would be classified as a UTE. Unibody design, like the Ranchero, El Camino, Chevy Avalanche, Subaru Baja, Subaru Brat, Hyundai Santa Cruse, also the Honda Ridgeline. While a few of those were or are body on frame I wouldnāt classify any of them a truck. I ordered the Maverick...
It May not without serious modifications, it may not be the right vehicle to put one in. It would be cool though, besides I have a 94 XJ with about 300k on the IL6 that it will fit in. I still want one.

I already want to do a swap for the ecoboost, I hope they build it, I want one.
Probably be a more legitimate test if they compared the Ranger with the tremor package to that Toyota. The unibody design of the maverick even with the tremor package will still fall short when it comes to suspension articulation.
It would be a better comparison between the Subaru wilderness...
While in June when we have 21 hrs of daylight and temps in the 80ās, right now weāre at 3 ish hrs. of daylight, and below 0° temps.
The sun doesnāt even get above the tree tops this time of year.
The lithium batteries are complete garbage up here, if the battery that comes with it needs to be replaced I will put an optima yellow top in it. It will be winterized and have a battery tender installed, so the glass matt battery that comes with it should last at least 70 months.
If I lived in...
Full on gas and diesel vehicles can have issues in those temps, while I think hybrids are great for regions that donāt get cold or donā t have a significant change in temperature between summer or winter. People that live in places that regularly hit temps of -40 or colder donāt drive their...
Heet wonāt hurt your engine, that said you probably wonāt need it anyway. If you park in a heated garage and typically run your tank dry, then it can be a benefit.
Most new car gas tanks are made with some sort of plastic so they donāt typically generate moisture.
Most gas stations have water...
Why did they have to replace it to begin with? There seems to be a fair amount of threads here where people are having battery issues with their 2.0 L trucks. I wonder if the folks with the bronco sport are having the same issues with these batteries?
Anybody know the size of the battery in the 2.0 L maverick?
How many cold cranking amps? Top post or side post?
I ordered on 17 SEPT, so Iām sure I have a wait ahead of me.
Optima doesnāt make one specifically for the maverick yet otherwise I would know.
Iāve read the specs but ford didnāt list...
It probably has more to do with a hybrid in the cold. Up here the only hybrid that did exceptionally well here in the interior of Alaska, was prototype hydrogen powered GMC suburban. Those vehicles performed great in -40 to -50 temps, the problem is that GM never built it.
Granted a lot of...
