Hi M Gang!
Fun one for Yāallā¦
Just curious what music everyone likes to test & and adjust their audio setups with? I have a few noise generators and capture programs, but for me there a few songs that help me set things up to my liking.
My favorite is Taxman by the Beatles. Nice clear...
Hello All!
I just added a pair of D-Rings to the bed of my XL, because the XL does not come with them I've learned. I first looked at the FORD part numbers and did a search for prices. It was easily over $50 for Ford parts. I did the whole thing for about $22.
I bought the D-rings from...
Hello All!
Since way back when I put a pair of Jensen 6x9ās in the back of my ā72 Camaro Iāve preferred having the tunes hit me in the back of the head. The Mavās door speakers are kinda Ok (probably going to swap them next), but the rear speakers could be a lot better. I have the XLā¦so no...
Iām going to jump back to the OPās initial question, as I own both an EB Maverick and a 6 cylinder Dodgeā¦same as the OP.
The Dodge does win the race off the line, but I have never been squeezed at an entrance ramp w the Mav. I am truly amazed at the performance of this little motor, both in...
18k miles on my 7 month old EB. No problems at all! Iām usually good for about 25k per year so fingers crossed and knocking on wood and saying all my prayersā¦
An interesting topicā¦š„“
To answer the OPās question, I do LOTS of highway driving and usually use 87 unless Iām towing or working it hard somehow. I tried the higher octane on a couple of trips and gas mileage didnāt change and my buttometer didnāt register a change⦠I do try to stay away from...
The tank was not full when I started this leg. I hit the reset button as I was leaving. I did the calculation using the fill mileage. I will agree that the 36.2 is probably optimisticā¦but itās quite a jump from when I do the same trip loaded up. I just did a shorter trip today of about 320...
I just filled up this morning and did the math. 35.8 mpg
I usually get in the mid 34ās on this exact trip, but usually have a passenger and some stuff in the bed. Zero weight this tripā¦and mostly driving over flat land except for the bit over the PA Poconos. Traffic moved nicely all the way...
I have a Ford hitch, but no ātow package ā. I have a light trailer that I tow my old motorcycle on occasionally. This trip did not include pulling anything. Just me and a big batch of great music played a little loud! Which means the wife stayed homeā¦
Hello All,
Received my new XL EB in early February, and just turned over 17Kā¦lots of highway miles. This last trip blew me awayā¦check the pic. 36.2 mpg without really trying too hard. No passengers and very lightly loaded. Tires @ 35PSI cold. Rt 84 in CT to 81 down to central VA.
I went with the Ford soft folding cover and I REALLY REGRET IT!
Although stuff in the bed stays pretty dry, the wind buffets the thing like crazy. I tried double sided tape and Velcro, but once the sun hits it for a bit the glue softens and now I have a sticky mess. Itās really easy to take...
My 2 centsā¦
Electronic shifting isnāt going awayā¦soooā¦we will all need to get cozy with it. But I will say that Ford already had a better way (in my opinionā¦). My 2020 Lincoln MKZ had buttons up on the dashā¦easily reachable and in line of site w the road. No accidental bumps, no looking down...
Hmmmā¦
I love mine! I do lots of highway driving and it seems like itās always in the morning when the sun hits the side and partially blinds me. I used to carry old postcards to shove in the window. But no more! Absolutely no blocking of mirrorsā¦and I am 5ā8ā.
I forget the brand but I used...
My new in February XL now has about 14,500 trouble free miles on it. Soā¦I spend some serious time in it! With around 80% highway (just a guess) Iām at 32.4 mpg. I tried a few tanks on mid and premium with no difference, so itās mostly on the cheap stuff. Others see a bump up w the good...
Itās not a big issue either way w me. I did really like the dasn located push button shifter on my 2020 Lincoln MKZ. It was easy to see and press while still having an āeyes upā view. The rotary sometimes is hard to see in bright sunlight.
I might be repeating hereā¦but happens to me with Auto set onā¦or when in Eco modeā¦or when I stop and Auto Start/Stop kicks in. If I disable all that stuff it works very predictably.
