First off, the current Ranger XLT Supercrew is about $5k more than the Maverick XLT Supercrew apples to apples. Not $13k.
There may be a hybrid.
New generation truck, so current reviews are not super relevant.
It's an option for at least a few people.
Yeah, no.
If you go to trade it in, the used car manager will run his hands all over the sheet metal looking for orange peel and mismatched paint.
Repainted cars are worth less.
Carfax has nothing to do with it.
I wouldn't.
I'd much rather have a tiny bump in the paint by my tailgate then a repainted vehicle.
A repainted truck will decrease in value. A tiny bump, not so much.
I know there is a new forum for the 6G Ranger here >> https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/
Hope it is cool to post here in the maverick forum though.
I'm seriously considering getting a Ranger, and I'm curious whether @Granger Ford Ford or Long MacArthur @fordvideoguy plan to offer forum member...
So, you're saying that cast iron rusts?
Who knew?!
Or, are you saying your pads are worn out?
Hard to tell what you mean.
I will say that if your pads are worn out at 49k miles, you're resting your foot on the pedal or something.
Why wouldn't there be carbon on the valves after 30k miles?
Internet wanna be mechanics have some weird ideas.
Like the combustion chamber of a street car needs to pristine and the oil needs to be changed every 3000 miles. And then you need to send the oil to a LAB.
LOL. It's a street car...
I also hate the "door handles". I created an extender from a piece of scrap 2x4. Easy!
Cut to length.
Attach with 3 inch stainless screws.
Painted them orange.
Works great.
