Thanks for sharing. The type of dealer to stay away from. I had a dealer once try to "include" alarm and undercoat. I went some ware else. Unfortunately with the short supply, our only choice is to accept or walk away.

You brought back memories of my 70's era Karmann Ghia. It had convection heating (no fan) from the exhaust heat exchanger. I was always cold in NW Pennsylvania winters. I used a Colman catalytic heater. It's a wonder I am not dead. I am so thankful that I now live in south Texas.

Great job and an informative post. I think I will mount a radio in the same location. I have a roof mount and an antenna I haven't mounted in my 2011 ranger. I plan to use them in the Maverick assuming I can get to the underside if the roof with out too much trouble.

As already stated a license is still required. In 2007 the code requirement was eliminated entirely for all license classes. In the US. I can't speak for all countries. 73's
