mine moved up a week as well, though scheduuled for week of 2/15 but went into production 2/8.
Seems to me like ford is stepping on it and is running ahead of schedule :)
it should be programable to mph, even in the anolog clusters you can change km/100km to mpg and the digital readout from km/h to mph so being a fully digital odometer, I would assume you could change it easily either with existing menu configurations, and at worst through Forscan.
Vehicle is under warrenty, I get it you dont want Ford to work on it, but it would be on their dime and stand behind the work.
BUT: If you do the work, then decide to take it to Ford down the road, they can do the ol' "this isnt factory, you modified the car and thus nullifies the warrenty"...
Judging by the retorts by the sales manager on the google reviews, Likely he asked the OP to shut up while he tries to wheel and deal his way out of it with him...time will tell if he actually pulls through for the op.
That being said, if my dealership sold my Mav that I have been waiting over a...
It's happening!
-Dealer received email 1/17/23
-Scheduled Feb 13th
- 3FTTW8E34PRA266xxx
-Area 51 Lariat Lux Hybrid, Moon Roof, BAP, 360+
-BC, CANADA
-initial '22 XLT hybrid order date of 1/16,/22. Rolled over and reordered as a 23 Lariat Hybrid 10/18/22
-Coastal Ford, BC
If the xplan acceptance is writing, then yes the dealer should be obligated to accept it. Speak directly to the sales manager, if that goes nowhere then your options are limited to ford corporate or small claims.
Sucks that they are doing this to you.
Yep, my dealer confirmed this for me as well as it was my preferred choice, but not available originally when I ordered my '22 XLT Hybrid back in January. Now that we are about to roll over as it still hasn't been built, when I do my reorder for '23, it will be a Lariat Hybrid :)
A couple thoughts on this,
check your signal stalk, theres a button on the end that turns the system on or off...at least thats how it works on the escape...kept knocking that button and turning it off...took awhile to figure out what was going on...
If its not there, might be somwhere else...
Canada gets the shaft on this one, when we ordered our Bronco sport, we had some good info through the reservation system, from the reservation, order, production etc, all through the fordpass app too.... Ordering the Mav though, the dealership is more in the dark and doesn't know anything till...
up here in Canada, you are only allowed white light or Amber on the front of a vehicle. Though things get messy with enforcement. The laws vary from province to province, but some police interpret the MVA as essentially you cannot modify from stock and must be replaced with the same spec of the...
Anyone who would thing Ford is the only automaker struggling with the chip shortage would indeed be a fool. All automakers are struggling. I know a guy who has been waiting for his chevy truck for almost a year now. Look at other industries, labor shortages, supply constraints...its an issue...
To those bashing the 1.5L ecoboost, wifey has a 1.5L Bronco Sport OB....frankly it impresses me, its tourqey and decent go, especially in Sport mode. Cant complain about the fuel economy either I have the older 2L Escape and while the escape is livelier (and gas guzzlier), the Bronco holds its...
You haven't factored in reaction time, it takes anywhere from a half second to 3 second to react, depending on the person and situation. Successful avoidance was nearly impossible even with a half second reaction. You can see the Op tried to stop and swerve, if he hit at full speed damage would...
if there was no video, Op would take 100% fault, but having the dashcam? Jeep 100% fault, why? unsafe entry into traffic, failure to maintain lane, intention of an illegal u-turn on a highway. and the list could go on...but I think those are the big 3.
Could the Op have avoided the collision...
had 24km on our Bronco Sport, from the same factory as the Mav, they do have a test track down there. Being a newer model and thus "working out the kinks" aspect of a new model year, seeing many having similar mileage readings new from factory, I feel this is in general the norm and acceptable...
