That is impressive, especially for the performance and capability the EcoBoost provides. I would have likely remained a Maverick owner had I purchased the 2.0.
I had this problem but Ford never repaired it. I know it was the harness issue, but two dealership service departments wouldn't fix it as it passed the "tug test". Yet it continued not to start or power up.
Agreed. I once had running boards on a lower vehicle like the Maverick and always had to step over them and be mindful not to get my pants leg wet or dirty entering or exiting the vehicle.
It eventually affected the seat bolster (wear) over time the way I had to enter/exit the vehicle. It...
You echoed all of the reasons I bought the hybrid. I had an Escape with the MZR engine that was trouble-free for ~300,000 miles (and still going strong with the current owner).
That said, my Maverick left me stranded more times and was out of service more than all of my previous vehicles...
Yeah, that's been the consensus.
At first, the word is that "Ford has perfected the hybrid with over 20 years experience with the Escape and Fusion. Heck, even Toyota wanted some of their technology through a patent swap. Rest easy, hybrid buyers, Ford has this..."
Then, when problems...
Not speculating in your situation, but driving the amp to the point of clipping can kill any speaker.
What was the volume on the infotainment set to? Is it possible the Key 200.4's gains were not set high enough, requiring a higher input signal (that was clipping)?
3M Imperial Hand Glaze
Meguiar's Scratch X (for stubborn deeper scratches)
Collinite 845 Insulator Wax
No kidding, these products (used as directed) will resolve your issues and also provide a shinier, easier to maintain finish.
At some point, complacency comes into play:
You've got a successful platform, possibly overbuilt based on it being new technology at the time (early hybrids of 2005ish), that are reliable and widely touted. You decide to use that success to cast a wider net and gain market-share. Especially...
I think you should base your decision on your knowledge, experience, and gut instinct, not anyone else on any forum.
Some will duck and run at the first glitch, others will bear an unreasonable burden of problematic ownership and marginalize their woes. We are all different, have different...
I've said many times, my 2022 was outstanding for the first 22,000 or so miles. Never a glitch, worry free, except for maybe the sunglass holder latch, no showstoppers.
I might have considered an extended warranty, but the dealerships and Ford were not able to resolve my Maverick's big issues...
We're in the age where the youthful consumers (target market for Maverick) are conditioned to be beta testers. I remember software companies in the pre-internet days would delay their releases up to a year working out the bugs. It was company suicide to release a buggy product without the...
There are many examples of hybrid owners on the forum with zero issues and some of us that had very frustrating experiences. My ownership experience started out great, but the experience eroded over time, both with the vehicle itself, several Ford dealership service departments, and Ford Motor...
Agree 100%
Worked in similar capacity (HMI and ladder logic). Several years ago I was with a senior controls systems engineer (now with Rockwell), peering into a Tesla, noting the screen area and lack of physical buttons for anything.
He said, "Hell no!, I want something that will get me home...
