This is exactly why I ordered EB. I wanted the hybrid, but my car doesn't have too much longer and I see a very, very low likely I could get a Hybrid XLT anytime before Spring of '24. Clearly the majority number of orders are for hybrids, and I have no doubt the majority of carryover '22 orders...
I just put my order in for an XLT in Onyx Black with the Black Out Package. I was planning on ordering new wheels in bronze, but i never thought about re-coating them, and for half the price of buying a new set sounds amazing. I'll definitely be doing this.
Good to know! I also reached out to Ted Britt in Chantilly but I couldn't seem to get a flat out "yes, we honor MSRP". I had light dealings with Jerry's in the past that also rubbed me the wrong way, and only reached out to them as someone on a different forum had a positive experience. I'll...
I contacted Jerry's Ford of Leesburg to inquire about A) readying an order to be submitted on day 1 of the banks reopening, and B) asking if/how they honor MSRP. Here's their response:
Great interview, and I hope people use this as a reference for when they start to take the current manufacturing realities personally. Ford is clearly in very good hands with this team towards the helm, so if their decision is to stop all hybrid scheduling, move back ordering dates, adjust lines...
Oh wow, that's pretty strange to me. Are those other graphics consistent on the Ranger/F150 Tremor? Curious to see what more, cosmetically, they plan on doing with this trim.
I'm honestly so stoked they separated the utility package from the color/graphics package. I have zero interested in having an orange sticker on the side of my vehicle and flashy wheels. Having the lift and other drive modes on a black Maverick is going to be rad.
The video states it's a $2,995 add-on to the XLT and Lariat models. So theoretically you can get an XLT Tremor w/ LUX package for $30k on the button, which, for me, is very palatable for what would be a very capable truck.
Looks like you also get all black, leather seats. I've never loved trim names on seats, but i also never loved the two-toned fabric used on the Maverick, so a more solid color option is nice.
Loo
This would just be SO weird if there wasn't any drive capability changes made to this trim. Like, would they actually go through this effort for something that was purely cosmetic? I know we don't have all the details yet, but I figured there would be SOMETHING more obvious (ride height...
I like the Ranger a lot, but I still can't seem to understand why it's considered alongside the Maverick. They're completely different kinds of vehicles, and I would assume if you're interested in the Maverick then there's little about the Ranger that would meet your needs.
Glad the market is bringing so options to the platform. 2.5" is a good bit more than what I would feel comfortable going for - I'll ideally do 1" in front and 1.5" in back. But the more options the merrier in my book.
