Bedliner paint is surprisingly waterproof, it also stiffened the board considerably. I was planning on adding some runners as the sheet was sagging just carrying it before, but it really helped it with that paint alone. I would bet it'll last 3 years easily.
Can't find a cover I really want yet, can't keep waiting so this will have to hold me over until someone makes a cover that is perfect for me. 3/4 MDF with bed liner paint all around 4 coats, still need to paint the piano hinge and screws with a flat black spray paint. Hinges just under the...
Assume much? Piss off. I own an F-350 dually and I'll out parallel park you with that ruck any day of the week. And yes I have my mirrors set so there is virtually no blind spots (motorcycles can be more of a challenge depending upon where in the lane they decide to ride), I'm all for making...
I just had the pre collision warning trigger when the car 2 in front of me hit his brakes, car in front of me almost hit him, I saw it about the same time as the warning, but if had been looking down or checking a mirror, adjusting the radio, etc it would have saved an accident.
Ford is probably the least of my concerns of "being tracked", if you have a smartphone I've got some really bad news for you... Well worth it to be able to start from anywhere.
Back in the day I had an Acura Legend 2 door, took out the back seat and had 2 18" rockfords inverted firing into a sealed box and 2 10" MA Audio subs in the trunk... Hit super hard. That car was stolen and stripped and dumped in a lake, haven't really built a system since then.
However this...
Most built in units are garbage, I fully intended on not using the factory head unit pretty much at all. I have an ipad mini in front of the infotainment system and it's connected via bluetooth and it is a great replacement for the factory system. The drawback is that I do not see the back up...
It should work, I use an ipad mini through bluetooth for music/navigation/etc. Works great! I turn on the truck and within 20 seconds or so it connects to the bluetooth automatically and starts playing where it left off.
The keypad, and the power locking tailgate were 2 of my main reasons to choose the XLT over the XL package. Too handy to be able to unlock your car without your keys (or phone) and the tailgate locking/unlocking without thinking about it.
It's the mini 5 (last year's model) the mini 6 is the newer one, but it doesn't have the home button and I think the home button is better for this use case (quick fingerprint unlock and turn on).
Made a quick ipad mount to go in front of the stereo, I much prefer a device over a stereo screen, nice to have full access to every app. It would be nice to display the backup camera on it, but I can move the iPad quickly if I really want to see the screen, I don't typically use backup cameras...
