Had 13 volts when I got back from the drive, I put my trickle charger on the battery and I'll let it charge all night. I'll pull the charger in the morning and track the level after a few hours to see if it's dropping.
Tried to schedule service from the app... And it wouldn't let me, pretty...
Yup, not my first rodeo. It is shutting off, but that doesn't mean the dealer won't wonder if that could be the cause.
If I was the only one having issues I might wonder myself, but since there are others I don't think the amp install is the culprit.
Didn't hear the door chime at the steering column, won't hear it through the speakers as I've got an amp installed and it won't turn on with that low of a load.
Charged the battery up for a bit and it started up, took it out for a drive to charge it up.
Ford pass has these alerts.
Welp... Mine is probably dead. Went out to leave and it was acting like a dead battery, didn't have time to test it so we jumped in another car and I'll test it when I get home. Hope the dealer doesn't bitch about the amp I installed.
Meh, You can see where I live, Colorado, we get snow (did yesterday) you can see that I own a variety of vehicles, F350 has 4wd, CX9 is AWD, and the hybrid maverick is FWD. I'll take the FWD any day of the week, the AWD is barely better and really doesn't add any benefit. The F350 is for towing...
Got the amp all hooked up and wires trimmed up. Took out the jack and used it's mounting points for the amp board (I have a bottle jack in the back). Starting to sound pretty damn good. Need to get the top of box finished out so I can caulk it in. I'm also going to set T-nuts in the box for the...
Temporary install, got a few more things to do. Need to sand and add a finish to the walnut and make some cuts on the plastics. Need to mount the amp board and clean up all wiring (its all long until I decided exactly how/where I'm mounting it)
I essentially replaced mine with an iPad mini. I have it bluetooth connected to the factory stereo and it starts playing 5-7 seconds after I start the truck. Yes I lost my backup camera (for now) but that's not hard to deal with. I am going to try to integrate that into the iPad at some point.
I'm just under .6 for volume. I needed about .52 for the JL, I also needed to taper the sides as the sub is 9.625 and bottom of the box is 9.75 inside. I couldn't get the volume needed until I added the 35degree angle to the side by the battery. I'll snap some more pics and update my sketchup...
Finally got the box shape built up, never built a tighter fitting box, it doesn't move at all.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to put a nice oversized top on it to close it all off a little better. I'll need to trim the plastic just a little bit and then decide if I cut the front lip off the plastic...
This was me too, got an early invite and bought it right away, I think it lasted a week and a half. Just wasn't as useful as I thought.
We have echos in every room of the house, but the car just wasn't worth it.
Ahh, Gotcha. I replaced the rear speakers (and upsized them to 4x6), and ran new wiring to the amp (since it's in the back, it's an easy run) but my signal feed is of course jacked because of the shared ground, it works just fine as long as balance and fader are centered. But I ordered up some...
How did they handle the shared ground (gray/purple) for the rear speakers? Are they using the solid gray next to the green/purple wire? It would seem to me that it would be the negative for that speaker and I am beyond annoyed about the shared ground as it's causing some issues in my build.
Well i took the easy path with the tweeters, they weren't drop in replacements and I spent all of 2 minutes seeing if I could put them in the factory mounts before just deciding to do this. I like it better anyways.
