I agree it seems the biggest issue with the Tremor is the towing issue but I am renting and I really don't have the room for something on a trailer even if I wanted it. As for off roading, I can accept the Maverick Tremor won't be as capable as a Bronco but it seems like its still more capable...
Fair point but I don't feel the Diamondback finish would be so likely to fade anymore prematurely than the paint of the vehicle itself, it can also be redone worse case. For a metal cover, the Diamondback doesn't seem that heavy I wonder if its aluminum?
Yeah that seems like a shortsighted decision, I will have to do more reading here and elsewhere on the subject to see how feasible dry storage is even with a good cover.
Thats part of the reason I like the Diamondback, itβs made completely of metal, so it will be a bit more difficult to pry open. Plus with other materials like polymers I am concerned exposure to sun/UV light will eventually cause the material to fade/crack.
I also noticed Ford has a rolling cover for $1200 but I can't find much info on it, like the material the cover is made of and how well it seals, plus I want something that won't be a bear to remove if I need the whole bed for bulk items. Plus you're going to lose a foot from the bed with the...
Yeah more than anything, the Tremor's dual clutch AWD system really appeals to me because it adds the ability to lock the rear differential and lock the AWD system for a 50/50 split on power. I built a Lariet with the FX4 but the package didnt detail if it adds the rear diff/4WD lock onto that...
From what I have seen, the feature set on the Tremor is closer to what I am looking for but if I am not towing, does the 4K package offer me some advantage I am not seeing? I'm just curious and after having AWD, I can't see myself going without it ever again.
This is something I was aware of but thinking about it, I can see that lack of gap causing such an issue. I know the Diamondback provides a weather stripping kit on top of the seals already on the cover itself but I will have to read some more on the issue. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
Yeah the official EPA rating is 21 city and 27 highway, so I suspect driving the way I do will land me somewhere in the middle of the range. However, before putting money down, I will see how I enjoy driving the Maverick AWD Hybrid.
Thanks man, I will put some thought into it I just don't see myself towing anything for some time, I really don't have ability to store anything that requires a trailer and I don't see myself spending the money to own something that needs to be towed.
I myself am looking at the Diamond Back SE cover and the divider made by Ford, so I can have a large dry storage area when I need it and the ability to take the cover off when I want to carry more bulky items. It's an expensive cover but based on the reviews, its well regarded for its...
That's what I feel, I never got the EPA rating on any vehicle I owned. My Fusion is rated for 29 MPG highway and I get 24 MPG. My Sonic was rated for 40 MPG and I got 28 MPG. I feel the hybrid won't be worth the loss in acceleration and I do enjoy a vehicle that can put a smile on my face. Even...
I already got 5 people in my Fusion, leg room was a little snug but it was done. 3 big dudes, a skinny dude and a woman. I have to still tour the Maverick but I would be shocked if the rear seat dimensions were worse than my Fusion. The longest trips I will be doing with that many people are 2...
Here's the thing, I am looking at the Diamond covers, specifically this model:
https://diamondbackcovers.com/products/diamondbackse?variant=28905652553
The reviews I have read around the internet say it can provide that level of sealing, unlike the Bronco Sport the Maverick still has the...
Yes, I drove my Fusion through blizzards and through heavy wash out rains, I never got it stuck and I had many times where I didn't see the road had massive puddles and the AWD kicked in to give me the traction I needed. A friend of mine has a cabin and doesn't plow it out in the winter, I am...
See that's the thing, the Maverick Hybrid seems to be great for fuel economy but it sacrifices acceleration for it in comparison to other hybrids. Considering I am a lead foot and I am mostly driving highways, I have to ask myself, will I be satisfied giving up the acceleration for fuel economy...
I think before making the decision, I will test drive the AWD Hybrid so I can make an informed decision. As for the fuel economy, in real world driving the Tremor doesn't seem to get significantly worse fuel economy than an FX4, at least from what I was reading here on the Maverick Forms...
For the most part I have but I am open to other information on the various Maverick trims that I might not be aware of. The reason I am not considering the hybrid as its quite a bit slower and as I mostly drive highway, I feel I would be disappointed in the fuel economy gains while losing the...
