You're missing the point. Ford puts a bunch of holes in the panel already, but not where they are needed to do the most common and basic maintenance needed. Why?
And for those who go to the dealership or Jiffy Lube for oil changes, tell me the high school dropout changing your oil is going...
I ripped all my CDs to MP3 many years ago using free software I found online. I'm sure such software still exists today. My cell phone has enough memory now to store all the music I need for when I'm driving through an area with no cell service or fishing 50 miles offshore. My entire CD...
RWD truck yes - I always kept a couple hundred pounds of sand or gravel in the bed of my Ram during the winter when I lived up north because I didn't often drive it with the 4WD engaged.
AWD Maverick - not necessary.
Yah I know I should just butcher the panel and cut holes in it myself, but I just can't bring myself to do that to a brand new truck. Maybe once it hits 100k miles. Not like it doesn't have plenty of holes in it already!
"engineers make tons of money" hahaha, thanks for the laugh!
Most engineers I know are cheap as can be and refuse to pay anyone to do something they could do themselves out of principle. For me it's more a matter of time than money though. Any time I've taken a vehicle to the dealer it...
My perfect truck would be the Lariat with XLT rims and interior more like the XLT but Active-X instead of cloth. I do not mind the orange accents, but the non-BAP Lariat rims and interior are hideous to me. So ordering the BAP was more about replacing things I don't like with things I can...
Because I'm an engineer and it's my job to question things that don't make sense. Especially since the rest of the vehicle seems very well designed.
I also have a maintenance background and really hate it when engineers design things that aren't maintenance friendly.
I'm talking about the hybrid. I assume it helps with aerodynamics and improves fuel economy a little bit and maybe protects the engine and eCVT somewhat.
My issue is not that it's there, but why make the filter impossible to change without removing the whole damn thing?
Just did my first oil change at 3000 miles. Autozone charged me just under $50 for 6 quarts of Valvoline full synthetic 0W-20, including a free extended life oil filter and my military discount. What's the going rate at the dealer these days?
I will say that the plastic panel under the...
Huh? $31.99 and shipped to my local store for free. Unfortunately they're on backorder forever. Still haven't gotten mine. If Walmart had it on their website for $60 I guarantee Amazon has it for less and free shipping too.
Ordered my 24 Lariat in Shadow Black with BAP mainly to get rid of the brown interior. I’m on the fence about the exterior color though. I understand this can still be changed until you get a build date so I need to make a decision. I had originally ordered an Atlas Blue XLT and no BAP, but...
The stock 6 speaker system isn’t bad, except the bass rattles like a can of spray paint.
I can tell you it sounds better than Toyota’s “premium” JBL system, which was a $1500 option.
Roll up. Takes just a few seconds to roll it up or put it back.
Irvinec32 did a pretty good video review of it on here:

The best kind. CHEAP!
It does leak some, but I didn't use the weather stripping that came with it. I'm very happy with it so far. Will likely transfer it to my 2024 when it comes in.

You could always get some chrome Cragars if you want to be really different (and retro).
I'm not a real fan of white anything on a vehicle, nor would I spend extra money to put rims on one that had four perfectly good ones to begin with.
I think you missed that you can no longer get this truck. The factory should have switched over to building 2024s today and Area 51 is not offered as a color option for 2024.
Edit: Now I see that OP already has his 2023 (wasn't clear in the original post). I would have skipped the...
