For door covers I bought Plush Paws Premium Door Covers from Amazon, around $35 for a pair. They are black, black plastic tabs that slide into the base of the window. Pretty tough material that holds up well to our German Shepherd. Learned the hard way by buying a new BMW X3 in feb of 2020 and...
Put a new battery in it $400, charge pipe $700+ and $1,900 head unit so that was enough spending on it last year. I don’t drive it much 23,000 miles (8 years old) but its manual so its a forever car. $700 for Carplay isn’t worth it for me because my miles will drop a lot with the new Maverick...
My head unit in my 2014 BMW M235 died last year and the factory replacement was $1,900. They wouldn’t even sell me an upgrade or install one, it doesn’t even have Apple Carplay.
Got my first chip this week on the left front fender. I couldn’t find any Ford Motorcraft JS 7432 Iconic Silver at any dealers on line. Had to order from my dealer and its looking like 3 weeks if I’m lucky, ordered another brand that makes the color as a backup and its even going to be a couple...
I didn’t like the seats in the Lariat, I have that same color in an X3 but they are full leather and one color. Defeated the purpose of hitting a low price point $27,500.
The vent design is just plane stupid not being able to direct the air. I hate having a key, coming from BMW’s with Comfort Access you can just open the door without touching anything or not having to insert a key to start. Dash rattles but I think I fixed them. Considering the gas mileage, price...
I pretty much fixed my rattles by inserting padding so hard plastic wasn’t hitting hard plastic. Where the screen housing hits the dash I stuffed in padding and where the curved instrument panel meets the dash beside the screen I stuffed in some black padding. Drove yesterday and it eliminated...
I’ve had the rattle for a month and it sounds like its the center of the dash. Today I just started tapping on the door dash area and replicated the sound from the radio screen. Tapping the blue color housing that holds the screen. Incredibly loud just by barely tapping where my finger is. Did...
I bought the Husky X-Act Contour for the front and they fit great, bought some cheap cut-able ones for $23 from Amazon for the rear. I think the X-Act Contour cover more area up to the door plastic but better than Weatherbeaters.
I used it, bought new door trim 84” at Home Depot (3 doors) and ran it into the cab and down to the base of the tailgate. Only issue was it touched the inside roof so I put a towel under it so it wouldn’t slide and possible rip the material. A lot quicker and easier than lowering the tailgate...
I bought the Husky gas floor liners for my hybrid and they fit the front perfect, didn’t buy or need the rear. X-Act Contour is the name, says it won’t fit the rears. I usually buy Weathertech but they seem a little more stiffer and these seem a little softer more rubbery.
I bought the Plush Paws door protectors on Amazon, about $35. Tabs slide into the window crease and then there is velcro to attach to keep them from sliding off. Problem with the velcro was I didn’t want to attach it to the top portion of plastic that looks like mesh so the solution is place the...
Ordered August 2, built 2/21 and delivered yesterday March 18 to SouthCarolina. Hybrid XLT, lux, sunroof and manual window but no 360 which probably helped.
Thanks everyone, I feel less dumb at least for that part of the gauges now on to all the other stuff on the hybrid screen. Must say so far I am extremely impressed with the hybrid, ride, quality, quiet, power and even the ancient radio because of Apple Carplay.
So if the screen is on trip 2 and I use it between each fill up just reset trip 2 and trip 1 will run in the background and I don’t need to do anything?
Apparently I am a dumbass because I cannot set the menu like I want or according to the manual. XLT and I want to be able to track my milage on a continuous(ongoing) basis and each fill up. The only option I can find is either trip 1 or trip 2, WTF does that mean. Apparently its each time I...
Get a gov’t i bond which pays 7.12%, limit is $10,000 per year but if your married $10,000 per person. Got $20,000 late last year and $20,000 already this year. I’m going with 3 year finance and 0%, worst case is .9% for 3 years.
