From the company that gives us 2 different physical button options to control radio volume, but no physical button to control the AC, and also decided having to press "OK" so many times just to drive the truck was OK??
I got a cross traffic alert error within a few hundred miles, then it completely spazzed one morning after a ~1K mile drive the previous day, even producing a check engine light and seek service soon alert. All that has cleared up now and everything appears fine. I'm going to take it to the...
I just got home with my 2025 Maverick XL Hybrid purchased from Grainger. Everything was great. We did all the paperwork over the internet. After a $50 flight to Iowa, thanks Allegiant!, Marsha drove me from the airport to the dealership. I did a brief inspection then gave Shelby a cashier's...
It's a shame they didn't put a second electric motor in the AWD hybrid like Toyota did with the Corolla Cross. I bet the fuel economy would be better and the performance would be much better.
I'm 99% certain I was getting app alerts when I installed my daughter's PP in her 2024 Mav. See here, looks like Ford removed the alert feature from the app.

I really think Ford just needs to update their compatibility data. When you build and price a new 2025 Maverick, it gives the option to add Perimeter Plus. It doesn't tell you which model, but I suspect it is the same one that works on the 22-24 Mavericks.
You don't have to get insurance through them to use the Farm Bureau discount. Also, Illinois Farm Bureau is only $20/yr. You don't have to live in Illinois to become a member.
When I was in the market at the end of 2024, certain regions had the 24s for sub $25K, and that was the PHEV. They still didn't move very quickly. It's a lot of bang for the buck at those prices though.
Back when I went by manufacturer’s tranny fluid change intervals, I Had a VW go ~275K miles on the original fluid. That’s when I lost 5th gear. The other 4 continued to work fine though. Mostly highway miles on that one…
The Escape PHEV is competing with the RAV4 PHEV plus there is that battery recall issue that hopefully doesn't affect the 2025s. I almost bought one last year, but it's still not a truck, as others have pointed out. Plus do I really have to spend $400+ for a trailer hitch receiver for this...
Can't stack them. You can stack Farm Bureau with the "we weren't able to build your truck" private offer, at least I was able to. It sucks, because they sure make you think they will stack when they send you that e-mail.
I have a CRV with a traditional automatic transmission currently at ~307K miles. It’s had a flashing D (trans issue) for the last 100K but I can’t tell a performance difference. Drives just fine with a 50/50 mix of driving conditions. Fluid changes every 50K miles or so.
You at least have some protections being a resident of California. For the rest of us, google your name and prepare to be shocked at the amount of info that is freely available about you and your family to anyone.
If it has a lot of miles, it's not a bad idea. I'd just be real careful breaking the axle loose and removing it. If you use a hammer and chisel, it's real easy to nick the seal with the chisel. You can also damage the seal as you pull the axle out if you aren't careful. If it's low miles...
