This fee is not just a trailer from the border to the dealer. It's also transport from the plant in Mexico, the tariff on crossing the border, the exorbitant truck driver fees since they aren't in a surplus right now, the list goes on and on why it's more than in the past.
But more to the rest...
Agreed, these seem to fill that HUGE void in the rear where the Ford ones leave it wide open. Any benefit is null since in the North East that's where all the salt gets packed in and rots the body.
While not as aesthetically pleasing with the molded shape of the Ford ones, they are much more...
I agree with this, it's all the set up screens. Once you set your preferred options and date time and all that, you don't need any of the cluster screens. It's a novelty.
I had an Escape Titanium and it never fooled around unless I wanted to see if the AWD was actively engaged or not. Even...
Ok this is serious this time. Don't laugh at the Paint drawings. I ordered a FE so I don't get sunglass holder in the roof. I also don't want to set them right in the windshield because the direct beaming through the window warps them (prescription). I came up with a 2 piece use. the one is just...

Watertown Ford in massachusetts has an XLT alto blue eco boost fx4 on the lot. Looked at it today. Has the trifold hard tonneau. Nice vehicle but I'm waiting on my FE hybrid. One cool thing is the hard trifold has two prop rods to hold it in place when folded open. They look like the tailgate...
With regard to the rear defroster, I had a Honda Del Sol and live in New England. The de-icing was not a big deal because it's a flat window to scrape. With light frost (since it doesn't scrape easily) the front windshield defroster threw enough heat to clear it quickly as the air travelled up...
