Personally I would just take it to a self wash place, pop the hood and pressure wash it. Most of them have a degreaser spray you can use. I open the hood on my Maverick once a week during the winter to pressure wash any road salt that got up into that area, I have done this with my other cars...
Another idea, it would be nice to get some hooks that clip into the pickup bed rail system found on the left and right side of the bed. Even with the cargo divider, I find cargo can shift a bit more than I like. Something I can clip grocery bags, backpacks, duffle bags, luggage, etc to would be...
That's fascinating, I was considering a 43X after hearing about those magazines until they bent the knee to the grabber groups with the introduction of the Gen V. Funny enough, people made FRT triggers for them less than a month after the Gen V release, nice job Glock.
I would love a shark fin antenna that is matched to the various body colors available for our Mavericks, can go over the existing satellite radio/GPS assembly with a built in coil antenna for the AM/FM radio. I really like the clean look of a truck with no radio antenna's exposed. Such a shark...
I carried a full sized M&P 9 for a couple of years but that was overkill for where I lived and while my holster was comfortable, it was more weight than I wanted to carry on my hip. I carry my S&W Shield Performance Center instead and recently got an M&P 2.0 compact in 9mm, its a nice middle...
I paid $40,000 out the door for me Maverick Tremor, it was still $10,000-$12,000 less than the Ranger and Bronco I was looking at. I think for the price it should had some additional features for the price (Rain sensing wipers, Auto Dimming Mirrors, Homelink and a power front passenger seat) but...
Wow that's wild, a semi crashed into my Fusion and the passenger side was demolished but insurance paid for the repairs, it wasn't new at the time either. They did fantastic work on it too, car looks and drives like nothing ever happened 100,000 miles later.
Yes, in my opinion the 3.7L/6 speed auto was the best powertrain from Ford, the only issue I ever had was a premature water pump failure on it but Ford redesigned it and I drove on the 2nd one for 130,000 miles without issue. Not to mention you had 305 HP on 87 and if you were light on it, it...
The best I ever got was 28 MPG but that was just briefly, soon as I hit the mountains I was back down below 24 MPG. I said to myself, if it takes considerable conscious effort to get just 23.5 MPG, it's not worth it.
Well if I knew for a fact I would get 38 MPG while maintaining the...
Very upset too, I don't know why the current Ford CEO is to force us to chose between the Bronco Sport and the Ford Explorer, one a SUV that misses a lot of features the Escape had and the much bigger/much more expensive Explorer.
The Edge isn't even an option now that Ford killed that too...
That's why I have been on the fence with a hybrid, I am going to lose power and acceleration compared to the 2.0L Turbo but I am unsure if the hybrid will give me such fuel economy. It's part of the reason I decided against the Maverick Hybrid. I drive mostly highway in my commute to work but I...
Oh my God, I wish, the best I was ever able to get on a tank driving mostly highway was 23.5 MPG on a whole tank. I was averaging 78 MPH for most of the trip but it wasn't stop or go, traffic, etc. Recently I just stopped worrying about it and I am getting closer to 20-21.5 MPG on average.
TBH, I am considering picking up a certified pre-owned Escape Hybrid in 2-3 years if Ford plans to discontinue them. I stuck with the 2.0 Turbo on the Maverick as I liked its performance over the hybrid and was concerned my mostly highway driving wouldn't give the fuel economy I was expecting.
Yeah I got my Fusion certified pre owned in 2020 with 39,000 miles and it already has 210,000 miles. The mileage would probably be over 300,000 miles now if I wasn't driving my Mustang heavily for 5 months of the year.
I really doubt the amp draw is enough on these mirrors to cause any issues, from what I can tell the only thing pulling power off this circuit is the overhead lights. I researched the install that people did before me and no one noted any issues. Also keep in note, these wire harnesses have...
Back in the day, before GPS/Satellite Radio became widespread cars that had the roof mounted whip antenna had the option of being replaced with a shark fin antenna with a coiled antenna in the fin to maintain AM/FM reception, as seen here...
