Congrats! It took us a short 18 months before ours was scheduled. Picked ours up in July and up to this point, it was worth the wait. (y)

The longer it goes on the more likely there will be an impact. Seems like Ford wants to put this behind them a soon as possible. The UAW will get more money. However, restoring a pension system and a 32-hour work week seems like something that won't happen.

Awesome look and illustrations on the tread differences! Did you trade in the factory wheels for a credit? Congrats on the new rig! The CrossContact LX25 we got came in at 12/32 tread, but that was sooooo much better than the factory tires. :)

In addition, Hyundai may offer a plug-in hybrid on the Santa Cruz, Honda may offer a hybrid on the Ridgeline, Dodge Rampage may be coming to the states. I too believe in a couple of years there will be serious competition in the compact truck market and folks will have options.

Discount Tire made me an offer that I could not refuse. The OEM tire credit coupled with the Continental rebate ended up costing me a fraction for a set of new tires with superior traction, wear and warranty.
