400 watts maximum = 3.3amps, almost nothing...... A small coffee maker is ~800-1500 watts A miter saw will pull ~2000 watts on startup . .

LOL There are high quality splitters in the $20 range with no degradation in signal.... OBD2 is rated at ~4-6 amps max (though I would not approach that) . A typical Thinkware dual camera's highest rating (when in record mode) is ~400MA. .
