  1. My CV axle saga

Mine has been good since they replaced the CV axles. I think they only replaced the front ones so I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before the rears go out as well. We shall see.
  2. If you could go back to 2022 original Maverick pricing, what would you do?

I would've bought a base XL and sold it for profit and then bought something else with it.
  3. FordPass app functions on Android/Wear OS Watches at last!

Guess its time to pull out my Galaxy Watch 5. It would be nice if it worked on Garmins but I think they use their own OS.
  4. CV axle fix MIGHT be coming soon

My second car was a 2003 Honda Civic. I drove it for 10 years with only needing oil and tire changes. Had a Camry after that, drove it with zero issues for 5 years. Then had a Rav4 which other than terrible gas mileage was good to me until I got the Maverick and sold it for only $2000 less than...
  5. Are buyers still "Price Protected" to the price of the order date??

Yes, but the dealer is supposed to pass that savings on to the customer. I have seen some where they discount off the price (as they should) and others where they had to pay the current price, but then got a check in the mail once the dealer received their payment.
  6. $2300 off MSRP on 2024 Ford Mavericks at Long McArthur

CarMax came in even lower than Carvana. Vroom had the best offer at the time, but no one was offering more than sticker and once I added the tint and ceramic coating it made it even more of a bad deal. I paid about $4500 below MSRP for my truck and it still wasn't worth it.
  7. $2300 off MSRP on 2024 Ford Mavericks at Long McArthur

I'm assuming it was your XL? Those are really the only ones that still have a great resale value. I tried my 2023 fully loaded Lariat shortly after I bought it, and they only offered 35k on my 38k sticker truck.
  8. Are buyers still "Price Protected" to the price of the order date??

If it is your order, then yes you should be price protected. I don't believe Ford is doing the rebates for rollover orders, but price increases in the same model year should be honored. I don't remember what the system was called, but the dealer has to log in and select the order date and it...
  9. CV axle fix MIGHT be coming soon

Driving home i noticed the steering wheel is much stiffer. Is that typical after CV replacements? Almost like power steering is gone.
  10. CV axle fix MIGHT be coming soon

For everyone asking, they said they are the upgraded CV axles they put on. Here is the paperwork for reference.
  11. CV axle fix MIGHT be coming soon

Yeah I have a hybrid and haven't touched the suspension or tires at all and they went bad.
  12. CV axle fix MIGHT be coming soon

The dealer gave me a loaner, but I think that's also because I had water leaking into the cabin so I've been putting miles on their vehicle instead of the truck at least.
  13. CV axle fix MIGHT be coming soon

I'll make sure to ask for an invoice which they should give anyways. Hopefully it has the part number on it.
  14. CV axle fix MIGHT be coming soon

It will be four weeks on Friday that my truck was in the shop and they ordered them right away
  15. CV axle fix MIGHT be coming soon

I just got a message from my dealer that the CV axles came in and are installed already. I'll probably pick up the truck tomorrow. Hopefully they are the new improved ones.
  16. Official Diecast '23 Ford Maverick (Matchbox Moving Parts)

I want to do Forscan specifically just to remove that. It's so f*n annoying!
  17. CV axle fix MIGHT be coming soon

My truck has been sitting in the shop for three weeks now waiting on axles. I don't mind waiting a few more weeks if that means they fixed the issue and are giving me the upgraded ones.
  18. Lariat windshield just replaced at Safelite

I'll have to check for that icon whenever I get my truck back. I remember seeing the acoustic logo or whatever on the new one, but never checked for a defrost one. We never get snow in Florida, but do get ice once or twice a year.
  19. Lariat windshield just replaced at Safelite

I don't think the windshield was ever heated. The wipers had de-icers on them for 22 and 23. Edit: Nevermind. I assumed the heaters were in the wiper element, but I guess it is at the base of the windshield. Hope they put that back in when they replaced mine.
  20. Lariat windshield just replaced at Safelite

I was about to ask if you confirmed that. I had mine replaced earlier this year by Safelite and I had to let them know to use the OEM for the Lariat and not a third-party because of the acoustic glass. If you don't specify OEM, they will just give you a generic one that doesn't have it. Not sure...
