I'm 95% city(temporary) and sit around 19-20 mpg. sounds bad I know, but its 4 more that my 17' outback got in the same if not better conditions.
On my 3500 mile road trip i averaged 29mpg going 75-80. one leg was around 27-30 and on the way back down it was about 30-33.
Edit: in less than two...
This exact poll is why ford will probably never do it. AWD maybe but no FX4 or 4K. They would literally make one option obsolete. Oddly enough the "Premium" engine as well.
Golden question here. Everyone wants the Top tier but no one wants to pay top tier prices.
As for the OP, Your entire post was irrelevant a year ago. Those items were pulled out to break it up so people could have more options in their build. If you got all of them it would have been the same...
Well, we will probably never truly know. Anecdotally, I put my order in on Jan 27th 22 for a loaded Lariat and had it home 3.5 months later. so many lesser trims and builds were passed up but then its all based on regional allotments, parts availability etc etc. Id say you have maybe a 5% better...
Smart liner makes a version for hybrids but they are currently sold out. I have the fronts in my EB and will be getting the rear soon. Good quality for the price with better coverage than OEM. I dunno, its a floor liner, it doesnt have to stop bullets so i think anything helps.
Yes and No.
There was always a penalty, about 70% needed to match, but now ford moved it to 80%.
At the same time Ford cannot blanket fault a dealer if a customer flakes out and they don't. Dealers are able to submit that the customer backed out of the purchase usually accompanied by some sort...
They care if you are a hassle of a customer. With the current shortage in vehicles dealers are happy to get anything in and the more chances they have the better. It takes all of 30 minutes to put a order in if a customer knows what they want.
If you bail on a order that comes in that's a...
Nah. 2k gets my two dirt bikes and alot of gear respectably.
4k gets me 2 bikes alot of gear and the ability to pull a nice pop-up or small camping trailer.
That's a pretty solid change in capability and even if you max payload on both the AWD alone makes a huge difference in comfort doing so.
Part and supplies shortages happen. Dealing with a ever changing situation in parts procurement does not mean they did it on purpose. Your assuming they did it knowing all along they weren't going to build those. That's makes zero sense as it gains them nothing in the short and long term.
They run almost 24/7 with overtime when parts are available. That line builds three different cars so I'd wager they are probably operating at the fastest and safest speed they can when parts are available.
I traded in my ATR tires with 5k on them for 200$ and found a rebate along with military discount and got s full set of wildpeak AT Trails(245/65) for 500$ installed.
My ultimate point is that you can get them cheaper or other offerings you may like afterwards and save a few bucks.
You can't get the BAP with FX4 so that may either lower the amount of people wanting it or the FX4 package for that matter. Either or lessens the demand on the other.
The black package is pretty much the Tremor interior minus the Tremor letters I wager. Which looks pretty decent but I also...
I see this as a win tbh. Shutting down orders early helps not get them over loaded like last year. It may be easier to just start sending out whatever they can build as stock units to flood the market. I know it sucks for those not paying attention but anyone who's wanted a maverick should be in...
