  1. Hard to find a Good Seating Position

Selectable seat positions is a great thing. This feature should be standard on the Lariat and available on the XLT. Thanks for your comments.
  2. Hard to find a Good Seating Position

How common are memory seat buttons? My wife has memory settings in her 2020 Rav4. I do like being able to get in the Rav4, push my seat position button, and then start driving; however, I actually like the manual seats in my Mav XLT. They are very comfortable for my 6’3ā€ frame. All in all, this...
  3. Hybrid vs Eco for mostly highway driving.

I notice you live in Iowa. It’s pretty flat, isn’t it? A hybrid doesn’t get great mileage on flat highway/interstate driving. (However, some might disagree with me.) If I were you, I’d seek the experiences of Iowa drivers of Mavericks — both hybrid and EB drivers. Also, remember that mpg’s go...
  4. Finally found a Maverick in stock!

Taking a long Memorial Day holiday in St. Simons Island, GA, not too far south of you. I was surprised to see 3 Mavericks today. Things are looking up.
  5. Regen Effectiveness

Do these actions relate to the 975.9 mpg in another posting below?
  6. Hybrid Eco vs Normal vs Slippery modes - short distance

No problem with seeing the screen when I turn off the engine.
  7. Hybrid Eco vs Normal vs Slippery modes - short distance

Have you tried Normal in Low gear, but this might be best going down steep hills? Also, what happens with cruise control on? (You might best see this with EV Coach on your display.) But good comment. I’ll start experimenting today. Thanks.
  8. Hybrid Eco vs Normal vs Slippery modes - short distance

In the XL and XLT, you only get this screen when you turn your truck off. Please give me detail instructions if i am wrong. I would love to have This Trip available to me whenever I want it.
  9. Can I expect 10 years of reliable service from 2.0 EB Maverick?

In any event, it is worth taking a test drive in a Mav. (There are now a few used Mavs on dealer lots.) I think you’ll like it. Only time will tell if you can get 10 years reliable usage out of a Mav. (I wonder how many trucks purchased today will get 10 years’ usage. I think it depends on how...
  10. Hybrid Eco vs Normal vs Slippery modes - short distance

The ā€˜This Trip’ view as shown above is only - unfortunately - available in the Lariat with its 6 1/2 inch screen. (The XT and XLT only have a 4 1/2 inch screen which has fewer display options.) I like This Trip information as it gives me instant feedback as to how efficiently I an driving my...
  11. Western New York Forum Members

Hopefully, you’ve got your Mav by now. If it’s a hybrid, you have it just in time to experience the benefit of warmer temperatures on mpg’s. Grew up in Hilton and Clifton Springs NY.
  12. Western New York Forum Members

Of course, Western NY. Grew up there. Rochester and Buffalo areas make up Western NY. Syracuse is Central NY. Rochester is also Upstate NY. I think of Upstate as Albany and west of there. But to NYC people, Upstate is anywhere north of NYC. (This is sure to start an argument.) Anyway, hope...
  13. My red hot Maverick is shipped today

Does your order have adaptive cruise control? I wish I had that. Also the Co-pilot 360 safety features are excellent, especially the blind side monitoring and rear cross- traffic alert. I’ve got you by a year. If I did not have the above 2 features, I would have had an accident by now. (Although...
  14. COVP NEEDED FOR ALL RETAIL ORDERS BY 6/2

Re COVP, how do you know you are good to go? How do you know this? Do you work for Ford or a dealer? I have a built order to be delivered between 6/2 and 6/8. I think I will call dealer just to be on the safe side.
  15. Inaugural winter Donuts

Donuts? My idea of doing donuts is making a short trip to the Duncan store in my Maverick hybrid.
  16. Goodbye Maverick! 😢

You might want to think about finding a smaller but safe baby seat.
  17. The Ford Maverick Is Magical

Past is prolog - on average. Fascinating post, GPSMan.
  18. Dissapointing MPG for Hybrid at 85MPH

Net gain or drop in elevation? Hilly (mountainous), I think. Lots of battery regen on the down hills (wi more electric available for hybrid in the up hills)? 42+ sounds real good.
