  1. My 25,000 mile / 1 year XLT review

nope, I’ve just followed the indicator and both have been around 10k miles. I used points for both and there should be enough for the third one soon.
  2. My 25,000 mile / 1 year XLT review

I have a 2022 2.0 XLT Luxury AWD/4k/FX4 in Cactus grey. I just hit 25k miles at the end of 2022 in just a few weeks past a year of ownership. I've posted a couple of previous reviews and this one may repeat some of those! I've taken many trips short and long and each time it was great. My...
  3. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

A nice beach day, a little chilly but still good!
  4. My 20,000 mile update

This is for my 2022 2.0EB XLT/4k/FX4 Maverick So I made it to 20k in a little under a year (11 months). I would have been here sooner, but lots of work lately so not as much driving. Not much has changed since my last update. I did adjust the dash mpg reading and now it is much closer to...
  5. 500 mile tank on an AWD 2.0EB with FX4 and 4K

I have a Diamondback hard cover and I can't tell if it made any difference..
  6. 500 mile tank on an AWD 2.0EB with FX4 and 4K

So I've had this twice now where I was able to get almost 500 miles on a tankful. Note that the MPG listed on both is incorrect, my calculation on 1 was 29.9 and the other was 30.4. I wouldn't call this mileage all highway, but 45-55 speed with some lights, plus some city driving and some...
  7. Buyers Remorse?

Not me. My only remorse is that I didn't step up to the Lariat from the XLT. I'm at 17k miles and no real issues.
  8. What's your Maverick hauling in the bed? [Photos Edition]

Large purple bed on top and dressers in the bed. I like the Diamondback as I would not want to stack the mattress onto the furniture!
  9. My 10,000 mile update

no braking issues at all. I do use the brake assist which I like for sitting in traffic.
  10. A few days at the beach with the Maverick (driving in soft sand)

Great trip, I can't wait until I'm back there again. I last did it with my Willys Gladiator and never had an issue. Will be nice to compare with the Maverick. And yes, they ask if you have 4x4, but as you noticed, I've seen many lesser vehicles out there, and one time I even saw an F-150 that...
  11. Diamondback HD and SE covers in stock

It depends. If you just want to remove the front or rear panel, that is as simple as lifting up, unclipping the shocks and sliding the panel off the hinge. Or you could live it on the hinge and fold it over 180. If you also decide to remove the middle panel, the you would need a ratchet to...
  12. Diamondback HD and SE covers in stock

I ordered them pre-installed. You pretty much would only want them not installed if you didn't plan on using them or just wanted them installed somewhere else. and yes, my gas door was open, I bumped into it climbing in and out of the bed by standing on the tire. Shipping and delivery was...
  13. Diamondback HD and SE covers in stock

The clamps go around the plastic and actually hook onto the bed body, so it is quite sturdy. The issue I ran into is the bed cap has those little plastic tabs that poke through into the bed, so one of the clamps is maybe a 1/2" from the edge, but still secure. I already had weather striping on...
  14. Diamondback HD and SE covers in stock

Ok, I have it mostly installed, still need some adjustments on the locking clamps, but I need a helper for that. Install wasn’t too bad, but hard in the small maverick bed. note that I was able to spread the clamps a little further out than shown in the picture
  15. Diamondback HD and SE covers in stock

It’s a big package. Bigger than the bed of the truck! It will take me a few days to have the time to inbox and get this installed, hopefully by this weekend!
  16. Diamondback HD and SE covers in stock

I think my uncoated SE was just delivered. Hope to have it installed this weekend!
  17. Roof rack or hitch extender for kayak?

I have a 10'4" one that I just put in the bed with the gate down and it works just fine. For my 12 footer I will use the Harbor freight hitch extender.
  18. My 10,000 mile update

So I made it to 10k miles in a little over 4.5 months, I guess that I've been driving a bit. Nothing major has happened since my last update, just a few additional comparisons and notes. As a note, I have an XLT AWD/4K/FX4/EB/Luxury My gas mileage is probably around 25-27 average (my...
  19. Maverick Has Arrived. Chapman Ford Horsam Goes Full Scumbag

Correct in that if they charge it to one customer they have to charge it to all. But here in Florida, we're not approaching 1k, we've blown past that and now I sometimes see $1299! Ahh....no cap to add on fees....
  20. Farm Bureau $500 Incentive

No idea, mine and my sisters was taken off the price since there is a code that they dealer can enter just like any other incentive. I would keep on top of it to make sure that it doesn't get lost in the system.
