Opened up a used fl910s motorcraft filter thIs evening. Appears to be legit when compared to the previous pictures in this thread. This filter was from a 12 pack I Purchased off eBay back in May for $72, free shipping. I can take pics for the doubtful, if necessary. If interested...
Tried this in my XLT with the smaller display and it never entered Engineering Test Mode. I don't have push button start, but did turn key to the run position with the OK button pressed for well beyond 7 seconds. Very disappointed. :(
Does the smaller display support Engineering Mode?
Your truck will start moving with less torque if tightening the nut to the right of the center as opposed to the nut left of center. Assuming you are pushing down to tighten all the nuts. Uneven torque can lead to rotor warpage. Can't speak from experience with the Maverick, but my old Taurus...
Laid the connector for the charger on top of the air intake grate and secured with a zip tie. No need to open the hood. Just make sure to put it back on the grate when finished so it won't wind up in the wiper well. One wrap of the cord around the mirror provides strain relief and visibility...
Ford's advertised interval for hybrid transmission fluid change is 150K miles under normal conditions, down to 30K for extreme conditions, like towing.
Hmmm, cordless phones used 900mhz.
Here are a few other possibilities:
two-way radios, baby monitors, some wireless security systems, smart meters, RFID readers, industrial sensors, certain wireless intercoms, some point-to-point wireless bridges, and certain types of medical monitoring devices
FYI - Harbor Freight has 2 versions of what appears to be the same charger. The part numbers are different (thank goodness), but the polarity of the keyed connector is reversed. You can not swap the accessory cables, which look identical. The good news is the chargers are diode protected so...
The blinker noise is probably not from a mechanical flasher since the flasher sound can be replaced by door chimes, and the blinker is still active. Aren't CAN Busses wonderful?
80% charge?! So this explains why my float charger takes several hours to go "green" even after long trips. Only takes a couple of minutes on my other vehicle.
Hmmm. 6.02qt sounds like dry fill capacity at the factory. Maybe this note was a reminder to someone on the line that this step had not been completed.
Did you remove the restrictor from the trans vent tube?
Check this post to see what it looks like.

Since your filling through vent tube, I have to assume it's been removed or knocked...
You don't need a 3/4" hole to vent the transmission. That restrictor can serve a couple of purposes including preventing excessive water intrusion and help in condensing the oil vapors before it vents to the atmosphere. Which would keep the area around the outside of the vent tube from being...
A couple of suggestions.
Drain plug: 124 in/lb (INCH, NOT FOOT)
Leveling plug: 26 ft/lb
* Capture and measure drained fluid. Replace same amount.
* Drive the vehicle to get the trans up to full operating temperature.
* Remove the rubber vent tube assembly, not just the cap, to refill. You'll...
Thanks for your replies. Thought I was going crazy. I agree, this is not a good way to handle things. Especially when it cycles when you walk by the truck (and I did not have my FOB with me during these occasions). I'm now monitoring battery discharge overnight. When I came back from a...
Is my fuel pump possessed? It sometimes cycles with the ignition off (key removed), when I open the door or just walk by the truck. This has happen more than just a few times. Came home yesterday from a 4 day trip, opened the garage door and the pump did its 2-3 second cycle. Is this normal?
I have an XLT, also, with no lights in the vanity. I was surprised to see the wires. Guess its easier to install the desire mirror assembly as opposed to stocking 2 different visors. The connector is covered but look closely and you will see the release tab. It pulls apart very easily.
Thanks. It takes 3-4 minutes to get each sticker off and about the same to remove the adhesive. Highly recommend removing visor the from vehicle. Pop off dress cap and remove one Torx bolt (20#). Swing the assembly towards you and it will come out with a little wiggling. Disconnect the...
