Just to clarify of few things about clean and dirty side catch cans on the 2.0 Ecoboost.
The clean side catch can (in-line from valve cover breather port) accumulates very little blow-by, period. In 15k miles I've emptied about an ounce out of that can.
The dirty side catch can does NOT...
Just read another post with folks debating what is going to happen when their 3 Year/36,000 mile warranty expires on their "engine". Am I missing something? My Maverick came with a 5 year/60k Powertrain warranty that includes the engine and drivetrain. It's frustrating to see misinformation...
Measuring tolerances in "GRAMS"?
And, the reference to valve tolerances looks like measurements ranges for Exhaust and Intake valves clearances.
Isn't AI wonderful?
No problems. My battery maintainer is low current, <2 amps. If you're concerned, check the resistance with a meter. Mine is less than 1 ohm from the nut on the bolt to the factory ground lug.
My dealer, in McKinney TX, has a tread depth checker that you drive over when entering the service center. So they know when I bought the truck, they just got my current mileage, and now they have my tread depth. Pretty easy to figure out tire wear rate.
You said these 2 avg fuel mileage values were from a 40 mile trip each way, but your odometer only indicates 2.1 miles travel between these 2 pictures.?
30653mi and 30655.
It's not a bad idea, except I would only expect this "feature" to operate when using Auto mode and be disabled in Manual mode. And, never kick in when you are just using the vent with no a/c.
Assuming you're in the manual mode with the the a/c on. Your a/c is also monitoring humidity and will try to adjust according. It also does this while driving with the just the vent and no a/c on. In this scenario, it will turn on the a/c occasionally and manipulate fan speed. Really...
Your display parameters will also change the brightness for the back up camera. Has anyone checked their parameters before and after the update? Its possible the default intensity setting was changed in the new release. Just curious, since some folks notice a change and others don't.
Its a fact that K&N filters will not beat most quality paper filters when measuring partial size of filtration. But, is it good enough? I've run K&N filter in a '90 and '05 Taurus. Replaced the oil pan gasket on the '90 taurus at 260k miles. Cylinder walls showed minimal scoring. Zero oil...
But now you do need that 210 thermostat to overcome any power loss due to cool oil.
Just joking.
Very interesting and informative video. I will be pre-filling my filters from now on.
I see the Google AI symbol after each sentence in your response. Google AI is not an "expert" and has no idea who is. Nor does it give any idea of where that temp is being measured. I have seen so much incomplete and incorrect information from the AI responses, especially when technically...
FNBO and Best Western are also parting ways at the end of March. Although, Best Western has teamed with another bank to support their card. Best off all, all points earned are tranfered. I guess FNBO might be in trouble or tried to change terms. Just speculating.
