I only use Harbor for odd one off tools. Would not use them if I was a pro. Back in the day I fixed typewriters. Loved the spring hooks used to working with small springs. Found a cheap set there. Handy when you need it.
Thank you very much! They do look nice the crimp tool is pricey tho. An issue I have is the crappy crimp tools that you see damages the insulation on the splices.
Yes I do know how to solder. But all over the internet I have seen that is not desirable in auto wiring because of the vibration. I learned how to solder building scratch built slot cars when I was 8 yo. I never had an issue solder and shrink tubing. Just don't want to miss out on new ideas if...
Thanks have seen these types in harbor frieght. While I like harbor frieght for tools you may not use alot. Not sure about the quality of those there. Was hoping to find a good brand. Not sure if brands like amp, t&b pandit are still around.
My dealer tried to sell me there own plan. If you were not familiar with the Ford ESP you would never have known. I asked if it was a Ford plan that's when they told me they sell those too. So far I have not gotten one. I am concerned about all the electronics.
In the past I have always soldered and shrink tubed electrical connections. I have read that crimps are better. Is there a certain type of crimps to use? And or the crimping tool? I have used standard butt splices but they are not sealed against moisture.
See posts like this and wonder why would anyone buy an ev. Lucky if you get 200 miles and a few hours to charge if you can find one that works
Even tho I have an ecoboost hybrids are here now and they work. Toyota was right.
Where did you get the charging only cord? I to have the Motorola dongle and the wireless charger. The 12 v is used by a radar detector
However that cord would be nice to charge a passengers phone. But would love a usb c to usb c charge only.
Have hit 3 deer with my Honda CRZ 2 within a week. And one tore the driver side mirror off. That was the only damage. I did not even see that one. Driving to work in the dark hear bang! Rural road I has to turn around to make sure it wasn't a person. Guess it could have been a bear. NJ is not...
My Radar detector powers off if the truck does not move for 5 minutes. If I run into the store I have to manually turn on the detector. However after what it seems like an hour it will start up on its own I assume that's because the 12 v shuts off. I don't think the load on the 12v has anything...
Hi, does anyone have any experience with using a blend mount on the Mav? I have a Radenso DS1 radar detector and tho pricey it looks like a cleaner installation. Less real estate trying to make room for a Garmin mini 2 dash cam.
Cool I has a 2011 F150 Ecoboost bought it used only had it 3 years. Just to big! But very fast. My son actually put a turbo on a Dodge Neon. Had a turbo timer that would run the car for a few minutes after he turned the car off. Living up in the NW corner of NJ I will put on a few more miles...
Last 2 cars I had went over 250k before they got wrecked. I worry more about carbon buildup than the turbo. Retired now so won't see that kind of miles.
